Andre using Chase is actually interesting since he had that very specific conversation with Aiden about staying away from Chase. Whether he had options or not, Aiden thought he had to kill Hope to protect Chase from Andre. And now Hope went and put Chase directly in the line of fire with her nonsense.
Eh. If Andre & Stefano didn't plot Hope's demise they would not have been in the line of fire - they cracked the first set of eggs in Hope's mental tray. If Hope was able to not let the darkness overtake her to the extent she did then her family would not be in the line of danger. It's a vicious cycle. That's why I'm hoping that good writing magically appears and we get something similar to these sensible and thoughtful follow-ups to fire:

Hope deduces confessing to the authorities is the only way to stop the bleeding. Do a therapy story with her lock up time.

Andre is reigned in IN TERMS OF macabre revenge because his Hope murder plot comes to light to some pivotal people. Move him on to another story like getting out of the poor house, etc.

Chase. The Dimera's forced Aiden's hand but it was Aiden who added the mind-f--king fine details; although the Dimera's enjoyed those details that was Aiden. In November, we saw some battling with that with Chase - inheriting cruelty. There's the secret that Chase murdered his mother. As much as Chase cares for Hope & Ciara and they care for him IT IS a tough situation. Chase's father almost successfully killed Ciara's mother. Ciara's father killed Chase's father. Once Chase learns (if he learns) he helped the man that was more or less responsible for his own father's demise hurt more people, how will that shape his already fragile & semi-creepy psyche?

I'm guessing Rafe is probably going to have a Noir-Crime dream with a kiss.

I think ya'll should be grateful these are only dreams, TBH, lol. It could be worst, it has been worst and it may again be worst.

It's worth noting that the last time Days did a movie episode, they dropped below 2 million.

Exactly. She put Ciara and now chase in danger while trying to get revenge for Bo. And her house burns down.

They know it was a flop so why would they do it again? Unless this was the plan from day 1, let Dena have her way and watch the show go to hell so they could fire her. The ratings haven't really been cooperating though, other than the decline in December.

I think Daniels death and Stefano's murder helped the ratings hold. Regardless of the nonsense surrounding them. The show has also been pretty vet heavy which may keep people tuned in.

It could also be a hangover from the fall when the show was so good. Got people engaged again. At some point you'd think that would drop off if the crap continues.

I've already got second hand embarrassment just thinking about that movie episode. Movie genres are so non-specific, though, why choose that as a theme?

It looks like I am in the minority, but I don't mind the movie dreams. I got some entertainment out of it last time. It's only one episode!

I like the J&M spoiler. I NEED to see them exchange Valentines Day cards, kisses and bodily fluids. Like ON SCREEN. Enough is enough, Days - people over 40 & 50 DO have sex, ya know!!!!!

Everything else sounds like pure fuckery.

ETA: Fuckery and a complete waste of money.
Gross.

It's irrelevant whether she knows or not. My point is that Aiden attempting to murder Hope on her wedding night is what initially cracked her up to the point she ended up at. The whole actions have consequences element. It was one of those cosmic/karnic things that it boomeranged back around without the knowledge.

Well, Fynn and Lani could have been cozy and exciting if they had written the characters interesting, but quite frankly they have not written a shit of interest when it comes to these two new characters, rather it has been tonne's of boring shit with veterans and blah blah blah whatever Hope and Rafe Steve, Kayla, Ava so damn uninteresting and boring. I have written this before but Days have not a single exciting character anymore, with the so-called mysterious X factor and I have moved on to more exciting shows with far more better characters who bring it. And the last time Days had something of interest was when JS / EJ was on this show in my opinion.

Maybe they're playing strip blackjack... anyway I'm glad there won't be any silly Philip and Belle dream.

My issue with it is a little more complicated. I think the idea sounds fun in theory. I hated it last time, though, and I hated the Film Noir, so I have no reason to believe I'll like it any better this time. But my biggest issue is what it represents. They did this nearly five years ago, and it was a major failure. Not even just quality-wise. It's one of the five lowest rated days of the last five years. So let's do it again! During sweeps! While we're negotiating a renewal! It's one of many thing the show is repeating right now from Dena's last tenure, and I just don't get why you'd repeat the unsuccessful parts. She had some semi-successful stories back then too (the baby switch, Parker's paternity) but it's the crappy ones we're revisiting. I'm expecting a Rafe double any day now (that actually might be welcome if it's Rafe from the Fall).

The list of characters involved also doesn't exactly inspire me.

Oh, yeah I don't agree. Bo dying is what did it. She doesn't seem to care too much about the Aiden thing anymore.
