Quoting limited to 3 levels deep Somebody mentioned that Freddie may be here for CHABBY wedding! And that's all.
Couldn't he have been back since before this picture was taken, which means he could be at the wedding?
As far as we know, Abby has yet to be re-casted. More importantly, we have no idea how KM's version exits or if C/A get married before that time.

Even if they have found a new Abby, I'm not sure the new C/A would already be having a wedding if KM's exit is as dramatic or "heartbreaking" as has been speculated and stated by BF.
Billy said Chad and Abby's story is "crucial, amazing, and heartbreaking," not necessarily Abby's exit, though I can see how you could think that since he is talking about the final months.

If Chad and Abby get married in Paris, Sonny should be there. :)

I'm shocked they kept Paul at all. They wrote out every other newer character that came on under TomSell.
I think it was interesting that Christopher mentioned at Day of Days that NBC supported / cared about his character.
I suspect that Griffith and Higley were forced to keep him. That would explain the passive aggressive writing for Paul.
I just don't like the crap Paul has seen...I saw several times them tip toeing around the ideal of someone being gay...I was happy when they embraced it...I wish we could see more.

The Worse IMO were the Ross Mathews scenes

I think he's been in 12 episodes since the writers changed and he barely spoke in half of those episodes.
I'm shocked they treated the character/actor like that, it feels intentional.
I'm not shocked. Other actors/characters have gotten similar treatment in the past. Judi Evans is a prime recent example.
Adrienne, Lucas, Abe got screwed by this regime as well but I think Paul was more overlooked than them.

Oh, I have no doubt they were forced to keep him. What confuses me is that I thought that every actor had contractual guarantees for a certain umber of episodes. So I don't understand how they can have Christopher and Judi or others on contract and almost never use them. Surely their guarantees call for more frequent appearances than once a month, if that.

And then meanwhile we've got others on contract (Kristian and Galen being the current prime example) who are are being overused to such an extent that I don't know how they haven't exhausted their guarantees already.

I think Paul's character is also a victim of circumstance, meaning that two of the characters he was most involved with were written off the canvas for various reasons (Freddie wanted to leave and Guy was fired).

Nicole's character is going through a similar transition right now. Her two main love interests are leaving (Eric) or have left (Daniel), and she has really had a decrease in airtime except for the month of January.

Every regime has its favorites they like to write for, and this regime is no different.

There would've been a much bigger backlash had they gotten rid of Paul altogether as well, I think.

It is what it is. I just hope the days where they use Paul like a worthless extra are over.

And don't get me started on Eric, I'm still pissed about this departure.

I don't even understand why they aren't using him. He could be involved in storylines with his family and he isn't. He wasn't even called until after Brady was out of surgery for his heart, which I thought was ridiculous, lmao

Could've sworn it was after they came in and told everyone how the surgery went and John said, "I'm gonna call Paul" then.

But alright, I'll go with what you said.

He did. Just checked the 1/6 transcript: http://tvmegasite.net/transcripts/days/older/2016/trans-da-01-06-16.shtml

ACT FIVE:

John: [Sniffles]

Theresa: Shouldn't we know something by now? The nurses' station-- we could ask.

Victor: I don't think we should bother them again.

Theresa: Yeah, but it's been so long.

John: It's over?

Philip: How did it go?

Kayla: The operation went beautifully.

Theresa: Oh, thank God.

Kayla: Brady is in the recovery room now. His new heart is beating normally, he is off the respirator, and he's breathing on his own.

John: Oh, that's great.

Kayla: Yeah, pretty soon they'll move him to the ICU.

John: Oh, thank you, Kayla. And be sure to thank that crack surgical team for us.

Kayla: I will. Now, we just have to keep Brady's body from rejecting the heart.

Maggie: Well, that's really good news. I told Melanie I'd call her when it was over.

Victor: Well, I'll go with you.

Maggie: No, I'm really okay.

John: Can I see him?

Kayla: Not yet. Let's wait till he gets moved to ICU, all right?

John: All right, yeah, I'll call Paul, tell him his brother made it through the surgery.

Kayla: Okay. And roman's waiting to talk to me, so...thank you.

Theresa: Aunt Kayla?

Kayla: What?

Theresa: What are the chances that Brady's body will accept the new heart?

Kayla: If we see any signs of his body rejecting it, we'll adjust his medications.

Theresa: All right.

Kayla: But he's not out of the woods yet. I know how scared you are.

Theresa: Hey--listen, thank you for everything that you've done for him. Okay, I just know it's gonna work. It has to.

ACT SIX:

Victor: How's Melanie doing?

Maggie: About like I am. She's very happy for Brady. She still loves him. We talked about... how many years that we spent not knowing that Daniel was a part of our lives. But we both agreed that we were very lucky to have had him for as long as we did.

Paul: Is there any more news?

John: Hey, kid. No, not yet.

Kayla: I just saw Brady.

Theresa: And?

Kayla: And he's breathing well. He has no fever. Those are the signs that he's accepting the new heart.

John: So, so far, so good?

Kayla: So far, so good.

Belle: Thank you for the update.

he comes in looks kind of at Theresa in acknowledgement...and I think goes over and sits or whatever near John and them..something like that.

I think if Sonny was coming back for the Chabby wedding, Chad would have him as his best man instead of Rafe. I think he asked Sonny when he was planning on marrying Melanie a few years ago.

.........I thought Sonny would be in Salem because of CHABBY wedding....now I am not sure. Maybe to sell TBD to his parents I guess....I would want him to run Titan!

It's tough to be a Paul fan under this regime. They have a talent like Christopher Sean and they don't even use him yet Phillip, Belle and that ridiculous cartoon Andre are shoved up our butts. Ah, well, we can only hope some good stuff is coming for him.

I don't think anything is. I've gotten to the point where I'm expecting an announcement that says Paul is leaving town sometime this summer, probably with Sonny after he leaves again.

I don't think I could ever buy Sonny as a big businessman. It just doesn't fit his personality. Then again, it doesn't fit Brady's either, but he's apparently had an undying devotion to Titan for years...

What bugs me most about Sonny is that he's supposedly very worldly, but he wasn't written that way at all. He was just written as a nice guy from a small midwestern town. Add that to the fact that he's a Kiriakis, and I just don't understand the writing for him outside of the fact that Days felt the need to play it "safe" with their gay characters.
