Freddie did say he was open to coming back for some more stints. I'm guessing this is short-term but who knows.
I do not need Will to come back alive, at least not until a few years down the road. It does such a disservice to the story that has transpired IMO. Well, since the story that transpired was itself a huge disservice, turnabout is fair play, IMO.

It's odd that they would bring Sonny back, just as Judi and Wally's contracts are taken away. When the two were given contracts, I thought it was a clear sign that Sonny was going to be recast because Freddie didn't want to return. Now it seems like he has returned, and his on-screen parents' airtime is going to be decreased. Then again, the two were given contracts and seen less than they were when they were on recurring status, so who knows what goes into the thinking over in Burbank.
Maybe one of his parents gets sick in the CDC storyline? I hope they wouldn't kill off Justin or Adrienne, but who knows? Or they could just have them become sick for a short period and have a short-run return for FS. I'd like to see him back longer term though.
If FS just came back yesterday, I'm pretty sure they're already done taping the CDC story. The CDC stuff sounds like May Sweeps, and they're already taping July/August. Well, insert any other Daysaster into there instead. It could just as easily be a fire given the guest stars being in that field of work. It could have to do with Ari, Justin, or Adrienne. Or maybe even Gabi if CB decides to leave again, causing Sonny to come home to be with Ari.

I have to say, I think this was in really poor taste Jason. I have to call it like I see it.
Sorry you feel that way. I meant no disrespect to Lysie or the site. I was crediting the first site to commit to it being Freddie. This site happened to be the first one.
You made a point earlier of saying that you didn't want to call out Vincent as a liar. After having re-read the way I worded things in my Freddie post, I see now that it seemed to insinuate DR itself was saying/stating VI fibbed. I did not mean for it to come across that way, so I'll just completely remove any DR mention from the post.
It now reads as this:
FREDDIE OR STAGEHAND?
As fans know, since this photo was first posted last night, Vincent Irizarry has since said (at least three times) that it's a Freddie Smith lookalike stagehand. So, "Days" fans, do you think we'll be seeing Sonny Kiriakis wearing a blue shirt in scenes at Club TBD in July, or are you sticking with the lookalike stagehand theory?

Not to get into semantics, but instead of bantering about which site was first to break or believe the news, shouldn't we just be happy that it appears to be FS back on Days? I, for one, miss having him on the show and Ari needs her daddy.

Of course it's all just wishful thinking on my part. My WilSon heart still can't stomach the fact that they spent all that time building up their relationship only to utterly destroy it in one felt swoop.

Well, not new, this site knows it. But I saw the picture before coming here and I had zero doubt that was him. That's absolutely Freddie. I have certainly stared at his face enough to feel sure. :P
I am extremely surprised to see Freddie. He and Alyssa seem to have been telling people they are "bicoastal" now, and have been living in Florida for the past few months, so count me in as one who doesn't think this will be long term at all. Although Alyssa did say, months ago, that they'd be back in February, so who knows. Maybe this has been planned for a while.
If Sonny is back, even for a short while, without Will, I'll be intrigued. I recall the few times Will was away (Will's trips to Berkeley and to Hollywood) I never found Sonny more interesting. I LOVED seeing him on his own, acting like his own person, a person whose entire life was not based purely on the actions of someone else. If the writers have any inclination to continue writing for Sonny even though Will is gone, I'm pleased. For the time being anyway. If the new writers ruin him, I may change my mind.

I'm happy for Sonny's return.
But I *DON'T* want to see Paul with Sonny -- not at all!
I'd like them each to find their own boyfriend.

I'd like them each to find their own boyfriend. I think that Sonny's return is going to be short so it'll probably be him selling TBD (since Chad is going to give the entire club to Sonny??) and either saying goodbye to Paul for good, or Paul goes with him back to Paris and we just don't know yet that CS is leaving.
It'd give the show a chance to turn TBD into something else.. like another Penthouse Grill maybe.

I want the coffeehouse back. I didn't feel too attached to it when Sonny and Chad first opened it, but compared to stupid TBD, it was a great set.

I think it's FS, and of course the actors are going to say it isn't. This is the problem with filming so far in advance, it's hard to keep things like this under wraps.

Adding on, to say:
I'd like to see Will brought back someday; but not until there is decent writing for him. I don't want contrived plots.

Saw the headline and thought of Hugo. :)
I'm glad Freddie will be back even if it's for a bit. I didn't care for the way the character was written out of the show.

I don't think you would have to go as far back as the recast. Just have the switch happen when he was in LA, fakeWill could have slept with the movie guy and it would also explain why he hardly ever responded when Sonny tried to call him.
YES. This is exactly what should happen. The real Will was kidnapped and held captive in LA and someone (the DiMeras) replaced him with a clone and set him to Salem. The clone is the one who cheated and died. It certainly wouldn't be the first Sami didn't notice someone she loved was replaced with a clone. And Sonny was barely around him so. This is the best way to bring Will back to life, because it would undo all the crap but it wouldn't undo the wedding/marriage.
This is genius. I'd love this. And also, when we get the *real* Will, he grows up and is more comfortable with himself, and able to be independent.

As glad as I am to potentially be seeing Sonny again, I'm also nervous.
