They're still on my mind, as if they'd never left. I guess I live in soapfan time. |

While I think it would be great to bring back some of these long-missed families, Days doesn't seem to have a good recent track record bringing on recasts of characters whose parent or parents aren't regulars. I mean, look at Theresa. She's the daughter of a super couple with plenty of other ties to the canvas, and yet I think she's largely floundered without Shane and Kim. For whatever reason, I think Days struggles to write close family relationships outside of parent-child, which is such a shame. |

I completely agree about the Cullitons! The shows I have enjoyed the most have been written by them. I don't know about Salmons, but I tend to agree she is overrated, but I'll admit some of my dislike is along the same lines, playing favorites to Ejami. I just don't like that. |

Love this. A vintage 1930 Chicago photo on the set. Further reinforcing the idea that Salem is "near Chicago". |

I had just went to Google Image search, and the top result said "Best guess for this image: vintage Chicago", but you found the exact photo. Great job, thepadange!! Edited by Jason47, Feb 9 2016, 02:32 PM.

I had only tried it once before, but when I saw that picture posted above, thought I'd give it another shot. |

I think Theresa's relationships with Eric & Caroline were good, but of course we never see them together. :shame: |

WOW. Was not expecting this news at. all. EDIT: I still don't know how to feel about this, though. It sounds like NBC wants them to switch so that they can have more influence on the writing. I don't like the sound of that. Also, if the current schedule is saving them money, how in the world would Days be able to go back to a normal schedule if the budget gets cut again? I don't know. It almost sounds like NBC is pushing for this to make it harder for Days to stay afloat. No wonder Sony is holding out. Edited by cord08, Feb 9 2016, 03:35 PM.

I was just coming to post this and see you beat me to it. :) What does this mean for actors? Would they have a few months off work to "catch" up to production schedule? |

Ha. NBC is not stupid. LOL Now they just have to make a 5-month hiatus and then do like GH lately - 3 weeks taping, 2 weeks hiatus. Not sure what would be the unions' position though. |

It would be better. And someone involved in the show may even be looking into it. It wouldn't be NBC. |
