Will you have to remind the writers that you are Belle and Eric's older half-brother and Claire's uncle? And will we finally figure out where your dad went after mailing that letter? |

Whether they mean it or not, it is quite extraordinary! In the history of US television, Days, GH, ATWT and GL are the only scripted shows to make it more than 51 years on the air. Edited by Jason47, Feb 11 2016, 07:58 PM.

Probably my first and last post here to say: This is exactly what happens. Chase rapes Ciara. |

Here is the thing....it is a good thing, but its also a bad thing...If the ratings slide within months, NBC may cancel it next year. NBC has been struggling with keeping the soap or letting it go. Sure they are happy for now, but behind closed doors of NBC, its a different story! I hope I am wrong and NBC seriously keep this soap! Only time will tell for sure......... |

Hate to be a downer ... but ... that's what I do ;) I am starting to wonder if the new directive to shorten the tape to air schedule is so that in 2017 (or whenever in the not-too-distant-future), should Days be canceled, there is enough notice for TPTB to construct a proper ending. |

If the "terrible" thing for next week is storyline related, then I'm not worried. Just because it's terrible for Lysie doesn't mean it's terrible for everyone. Just something she doesn't like. I'll wait and see how it plays out before I decide how terrible it is. |

I think it's mostly fans who are concerned about the "proper" ending, I doubt the execs care so much about it that it could be an issue during the negotiations. They can inform "Days", let's say in July, that they plan to cancel. No schedule change needed. Why even bother? IMO they really want a better show and better ratings. Rape is a horrible crime and very hard to watch. But it's just a fiction. I just hope they take it very seriously this time and handle it better than some of the similar stories before. PS. Such a weird thing. I read the post and got the feeling the poster isn't entirely new to the board. I can't even explain why. |

Yeah, I'm not sure if this is a "Twitter egg" fake spoiler situation, or if this is legit. It's just too hard to tell on a message board sometimes, especially when said poster has allegedly not posted before. |

Happy News, but now I have to renew soap opera digest for about $90.00 and god, I hate doing that. But I got to have the magazine. |

It's not just a fiction to me because it happened to me. The show is fictional, but yes I agree about hoping they treat it seriously. |
