I am starting to think it was Steve's dream not Ava's.

She says we have to kill Kayla, but in his dream, he gets to out smart Ava and take the bullets out of the gun and Kayla ends up killing her instead. Also, Steve would dream that Kayla would still want to kiss him after she finds out the truth, he desperately doesn't want to lose her. He wakes up on couch with Kayla, thinking about killing Ava in his head.

So there weren't any movie genre themes to the dreams?
And the description said it was Ava's dream, but it was really Steve's dream?

Who on the Days staff wrote up the spoilers?
I'm wondering if they (Griffith/Beth) went back in and added changed a few scenes of this Dena crap...Ava dreaming would totally be Dena but flipping the end over to Steve might be part of the fix. They could have done it on a couple others.

Well it wasn't as "campy" as I expected.

It was so nice to see Doug and Julie although carrying a box of pictures around town was weird. They so should have done that at the B and B. Does the fact that Julie keeps a picture of Chabby mean she and Doug are Chabby supporters?

Julie helped Chad set up his room at the B&B and Chad told Abby about talking with Doug & Julie at the Pub and they said that they hold no grudge against him. So yeah, they are supporters. :)
Nice! Thank you....we have Chabby cheerleaders! :cheer:

The end with Nicole was okay. It would have been better if her lost love were A) a character I gave a rat's ass about and B) they'd had an actual love story. I mean...go back 30 years. Can you imagine that kind of scene with Marlena after Roman died?
Amen! :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

Could DOug and Julie really not done this at their house rather than lugging that box all over town
It definitely would've made more sense at the B&B. ;)

What an incredibly stupid episode.

I'm also gonna need for them to use different music with the Rafe/Hope/Andre storyline because the one they used today and when the fire started is making me laugh.

I just couldn't bring myself to watch. Did anyone's dream have a doctor in it?

IMDb listed some actor as a doctor for this episode. (Obviously IMDb isn't always accurate, but I'm curious).
Yes, Ciara's had a nurse and doctor - although I'm not certain really what their function was?
lol for a second I was like, "why is she in the hospital? are they hinting that she's bipolar???"

I'm surprised we didn't see the Belle Shawn Philip triangle today. Or even JJ Gabi. It seems they picked stories that could have overly dramatic kind of dark stories.
JJ and Gabi have no story so there is nothing to base their dream on.
Frozen yogurt!! And their first kiss again.

They had a casting call:
" A bunch of teenage boys all vying for the same girl's attention."

I think it might have been for Ciara's dream, but they probably changed the idea.

It's Valentine's Day in Salem, and Julie and Doug take a moment to reflect on Salem's many great love stories. Later, they share a romantic dance, and it's clear they are more in love than ever.

Meanwhile, Nicole, Abigail, Ava, Ciara and Rafe all have fantasies and dreams - their romantic hopes and desires take a cinematic form, with different movie genres serving as backdrop for their love stories. Nicole sees herself in a '50s-era melodrama, still mourning Daniel - who reappears in her life in an unexpected way. Abigail dreams she's in a gothic tale, with two divergent versions of Chad competing for her hand. Ava finds herself in a film noir, vying with Kayla for Steve's affections. Ciara sees herself in a quirky indie, torn between Chase and Theo. Finally, Rafe dreams of Hope, with classic gangster Andre threatening to come between them.

And what genre was the Theresa/Brady thing? I was dying to know that :blulaugh: .

A '50s- era melodrama for Nicole? I thought it was just a "casual" ghost appearance.

I think it helped that I went in with really low expectations for the episode based on the spoilers. It was pretty much on par with my expectations. :-/

Of all of the dreams, I think that the Chabby dream made a lot of sense for Abby, given what she has been through the past few months. It makes sense she'd have bad dreams about a man she loves being double-sided after what she has went through with Ben and Robo-Chad.

I wish that I cared even a little about Dicole, but I don't at all. I also hated the Ava garbage. As much as I've tried to grow to like Ciara, VJ's acting just isn't working for me. I really hope she suddenly improves soon, because that dream was so terrible.

My favorite part of the episode was Doug and Julie being wonderful. They easily could have featured another couple's love story and I think the show made such a great choice to showcase those two instead. I liked that they talked about couples like Mickey and Maggie too.

Ok so I was reading the recap at Soaps.Com and sometime they put pics at the bottom of their recap. There was a pic of Brady in Nicole's dream. That obviously got cut.

I'm in the middle of the episode but I feel like I have been watching it for hours, what a waste of time. At least, the Ejami dream episode was entertaining.

Next year, have Doug and Julie sit at TBD with the same pictures and show us flashbacks of the supercouples instead of those pointless dream sequences.

Well, that's 44 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. :shame:

It was a train wreck and I couldn't turn it off. Do you suppose that's what "Must see TV" means?

I'm sticking with my theory they were going with Nicole Theresa Brady and Josh derailed it for this Summer story.

I think you absolutely right. Nicole is getting moved on to Dario and Summer will become attached to Brady because he wants to help her and probably not knowing she is a little crazy and a thief. Guess this whole mess is Thrady's obstacle angst cause I bet some crazy stuff goes on.
