I love MA and J&J is my favorite Days couple. I don't think MA would be too expensive. He has done some theater work but it's not like he had steady TV jobs outside of Days the last few years. I'm sure he would love a contract with steady work especially since he has a new baby and another mouth to feed at home. |

MA has been doing the Bay Series with MBE I'm not sure how much one makes on a web series but, I can't imagine it would be more than what he could make as a vet mininum. I'm just speculating those in the know probaly know more than me. |

I can confirm, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't make anything for The Bay. Web soaps aren't exactly profit machines. IF they make any money, there's a hierarchy of who gets a cut, and I don't think he's very high on the list because they have so many producers. |

Wouldn't Matt come at whatever price Matt is willing to accept (obviously within union standards)? And with a couple of little kids at home and not a lot of non-days work, he might be amenable to working for a pretty fair price. |

I think most of the vets that have been on Days would come cheap, actually. They all know the budget situation and there are only 4 soaps. Jobs are hard to come by. They will take what they can get. I think where things USED to be difficult is Days always viewed their characters in pairs. They would regularly let one part of a couple go if they chose to cut the other. In 2006, they could've easily kept Ashford then when MR decided to leave but they didn't. They viewed them as a pair and axed MA. Carrie and Austin always seem to get cut together. Belle and Shawn were cut together in 2008. Steve and Kayla were the same until 2010 when they started having Kayla back without Steve. John and Marlena were cut together in 2009. Tomlin seemed to break that trend but only so he could allow the male parts of supercouples stay off canvas (Bo, Jack, Steve, John). Now, they don't seem to think that way but they did seem to think like that before where they weren't comfortable keeping one half of a supercouple if another left or was cut with very few exceptions. It wouldn't surprise me if MA did return long-term. I think it was mentioned in 2011 that Jack was a return already in the works before Higley was fired and MarDar simply delayed it and wrote their own return for him. I think Matt even mentioned that in an interview that it was in the works before the regime change that year. In 2003, Higley didn't write for J&J much but there was some good stuff in there when they teamed up with Bo and Hope against the DA. It was a pointless story with no repercussions (typical Higley) but it was fun little adventure, which I guess was the point. It was Dean's way of tapping into the old "couple adventures" of years past. It just needed actual consequences. Then, she gave J&J the horrible "In The House" stuff which was another example of a good idea (giving J&J a talk show again) with bad execution. She also gave them a wedding so she did write for them. |

I was going to say the same thing. Looks like he's trying to ride on the goodwill of KA after all of the backlash to his words. Hope he's learned an important lesson, but somehow, I doubt it. |

He deleted a periscope AS I was watching it yesterday, and I caught him saying "Bad publicity is good publicity." Or something. Maybe someone else actually got to see it all. I was shocked, so I tried going back to hear it properly, and he'd deleted it so it just spun the little wheely thing. |
