Rafe will be on everyday and if she's forced to give up Rope, she will just try to start a new supercouple for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Tamara Braun returned as Taylor and she tried to make her the show's leading lady.
Consider me gone for good if that shit happens.

I wonder how many people knew this before it was announced. Was the cast and the crew blindsided or did they see it coming?
When asked about the headwriters while he was on Afterbuzz's "dishindays" show, Thaao mentioned Josh. That wasn't too long ago so they might not have seen it coming.
Yeah, I remember and it wasn't just a formal mention, he said he would talk to him about the possibility of an interview.

Yeah, something like that. I couldn't remember what was said so I'm glad you did.

I thought it was interesting that he only mentioned Josh. Turns out it doesn't mean anything, lol

So who was behind the Necktie Killer storyline? Was it JG? I always thought it was TomSell's last storyline.

Higley said in her Q&A that they inherited that story but changed it a lot.

What is Tom Langan, Brash, Cwickly or Sheffy up to these days? Would we want one of them over DHig?
Any of those but Langan would suit me.

Although I highly doubt Sheffer would ever come back given how he was treated.
I wonder what he thinks about changing John's parentage for the nth fucking time? He can't be too happy about that.

Both Dena and Josh said they"inherited" it. Dena said they made a lot of changes. Dena and Josh were credited as the Headwriters when it started airing.

How did she ever get hired in the first place if that's her creative process? She wouldn't succeed in the indie book publishing world on Kindle Unlimited with this kind of crap.
That is the $64,000 isn't it?

As an overseas viewer, I can't call or send stuff into the studio, but I'm completely onboard for a Twitter campaign because this is utter bullshit.

I couldn't find Hugo's original post, so I copied and pasted. But what I want to know is, why do you say that Tamara Braun returned as Taylor and Higley making her the leading lady? First of all, Tamara is currently on the show as Ava, a role she won the Emmy for. Taylor in the incarnation of both Natalia Livingston and Tamara was a disaster, so no chance that character darkens "Days'" door again. As for making Tamara the show's leading lady, I can tell you Tamara wouldn't want that. If she did sign a long term deal, she wouldn't want to usurp any of the ladies who are currently the leading ones. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

I can't say I'm sad to see Josh go, I was not a fan.

But Higley back from her LOA, ugh!

They should have let Beth Milstein head write alone.

I don't think they both said that.

I know Dena said that in her facebook chat she made in late August, transcribed here:
http://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/single/?p=9386897&t=9250425
Q. Who's idea was the serial killer story line? Yours, Josh's or Kens?
Dena: We inherited the necktie killer story. Of course we change it a lot

But Josh didn't mention it in the magazine interview summarized here:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/days-of-our-lives-forum-spoiler-page/sod-interview-with-josh-griffith/1003540706343816/
(I have the original magazine issue, and checked that article and the summary is correct.)
As the summary says:
S O D wanted to know if Josh has any goals set for the show that he wants to see. He says his goal is to never allow there to be a lull. To keep the stories flowing into one another, all crests and no drops. That and to stay true to what they are setting out to do, which is to make the show the best on the air. He wants it filled with romance, action, and suspense….the Hitchcock of daytime TV.

From my copy of the magazine, an exact quote: Josh said "It's the Hitchcock of daytime", in response to being asked about his goals.
From my copy of the magazine: He does *NOT* mention "inheriting" the serial killer storyline;
but he does say Corday had the idea of the bicentennial.

Was there another interview with Josh? Did he mention "inheriting" the serial killer story idea?

I really don't think it would help to mention a specific choice to write the show because that comes off too agenda driven when you simply want the show to grasp that your just concerned. Keep it general. I would just advocate for fresh blood, personally. That is really what is needed. The show needs a fresh perspective. Promote from within the writing team or hire someone that has never had a chance at Days. That is what I would aim for.

Something like...#Days does not need more of the same! Stop the recycling! Just say no to Higley, Tomsell, etc, Give us fresh writers!

I suck at coming up with stuff like that but something like that. You don't want them to think your irrational, a crazy shipper fan, agenda-driven, etc. The campaign worked the last time because people avoided that. It was just people calling and tweeting as concerned fans worried about the show and all suggestions were kept very general.
I'm all for that. This show needs new blood like Melissa Salmons or have fans audition their bibles. I'm sure Matt is available!

It's pure speculation on my part based on the assumptions that:
1. Higley adores Tamara Braun
2. Ava has been killed off

I don't really think it will happen but I won't be shocked if it does.

I guess that's pretty close to how I feel. I wanted Josh gone, but that was also with the assumption that Dena was already gone. I can't really take a lot of joy in him being gone because I don't trust her anymore than him. I guess I'm in wait and see mode, but I would have preferred Beth I think.

I guess I took it from the tvsourcemagazine.com. Not sure who said it to them.

I don't remember any other interviews with JG but Michael Logan had a couple of quotes from him in his articles, so maybe they talked  .
