In which she admits to having psychotic episodes. I just cannot...

How is this bitch not institutionalized yet? Uh HELLO!? If someone is that psychotic, not only should they not be writing one of the 4 remaining soap operas on the air, but she needs HELP!

She may have been during her "leave of absence." If so, I hope she's feeling better, but she should give up the writing due to it causing her stress. Plus, we don't like her writing and we become stressed too!

Does everyone know how to schedule tweets?

I'm planning to do more tweets on Monday during the east coast show. I'm going to schedule a bunch and also tweet live. I can give some scheduling pointers if you want.
please, I suck at twitter and I will be at work when I need to do this.
On your desktop, use tweetdeck. You compose the tweet as normal, but if you scroll down there's an option to "schedule tweet" just below the option to add an image. Make sure you know what time zone your twitter is on.

I have scheduled several tweets with pics of Higley quotes to go out between 9:55 and 10 eastern time tomorrow morning. Everyone do what you want, but quote tweeting things like that and adding #NoToHigley and #Days is a good start. The hashtags are already included, but if you quote tweet and put the hashtags in again, that helps.
How can I change the date?

This is just sad. No job is worth doing this to yourself. I mean, she makes it sounds as though Days sent her to the ER.

Did anyone from NBC read her book? Did anyone from Sony? I would assume they at least know but, man, do I feel like somehow sending/tweeting some execs these book excerpts just in case they didn't see them in hopes it makes a difference. I mean, she sounds miserable in this job. Why on earth does she even do it? A paycheck isn't even worth that. Hell, she could just keep writing books.
I just tweeted the link to Steve Kent & Greg Meng so they can get it from Amazon.

Its behind the spoiler for anyone who wants to read it (not sure if it violates any board rules to post it).

Spoiler: click to toggle
Maybe the best campaign would be to ask everyone you know who is a Days fan to buy a copy of her book so she can afford to retire.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep

You have to scroll down a little, and then it should give you a calendar and a clock.

There's that self loathing of the soap writer again, the way she looks down on the entire genre.

I bet some of that anger has been aimed at fans in the guise of her great story telling like John and/or Steve sleeping with Ava, etc...

There is literally no point at all in even trying to produce good quality entertainment if all we're worried about are the feelings of ONE solitary person behind the scenes who has effective control of the direction whole show. Of course people should be treated, in general, well and with respect. But they also should be qualified for the job they are doing.

With that in mind, I would say it's FAR crueler for Ken Corday to keep employing a woman who has clearly and quite specifically stated (for public consumption) that she is not mentally capable nor creatively inspired enough to do the job she was hired for.

Put someone in the position who wants to be there, is prepared and willing to accept the challenges, and hasn't already been fired from the job several times, and there'd be no need for this so-called "bullying" to oust them.

This! I started out on Thursday horrified about what this meant for my characters and my show but the more that I've read of Higley's book the more I'm horrified by what this means for the people involved.

Maybe the book is all hyperbole. But she said the show drove her to drink and to mental breakdown... well... employing her to do that same job? Isn't that asking for the same result? And if she hurts herself or somebody else in this mental breakdown? It is terribly irresponsible to employ her to do this job.

We have to do something. We all know what kind of writing she produces, it's crap. I don't want to see this show end with Higley.

Alright. I've removed some posts. If someone wants to question what's happening and do it in a way that's productive and not a complete misrepresentation of what's actually happening, go for it. But people in this thread are not the only ones involved in this, so it's not really going to do you any good. I will admit to having some reservations about the use of some of the mental health stuff, but these are public words shared intentionally. It's not like we raided her diary. I understand reservations, but there's no call for the rest of what was removed.

That tears it. She should never write a soap opera again and I'm not just saying it because her writing is a big pile of shit, but because if she continues to do this, something is gonna snap. And then where will that leave her husband, her 4 children and her grandchild?

Is there anything bad with it? Hey, even I think the whole thing is tragic and I will certainly not participate in any form of cyberbullying, after having read what she had written, I think that Ken Corday is the craziest of them all, I mean come on, he flashes his own the show card and re-hires a writer who clearly can not handle her job. What the hell, he takes no responsibility what so ever as her boss.

You know that is the scariest thing of all. The woman pretty much admits to being mentally unstable and that the pressure of writing for soaps and Days in particular was too much for her to bare. So why would he knowingly hire her back again and again. I could see him giving her a shot in 2008, but now? after firing her in 2011? IDK, it just seems like the soap scribes that are out there unemployed currently are unwilling to take the Days job, or something. IDK....it just seems like Days either chooses Dena or Gary, it's just bizarre.

I don't know what people are calling cyber bullying in this context. IMO calling people names is rude and not tolerable but I don't see anything wrong with posting quotes from a published book. It's not some secret illegally obtained stuff.

And people are doing free PR for her book LOL.
