Brady did tried to send Dario to different country to do some work business for him so he can have Melanie and Melanie noticed Brady's manipulation to get Dario away from her so he can have Melanie and Dario never liked Brady because of that. Dario was jealous of Brady and he saw him kissing Melanie at the bar. He hated it.
lmao, I don't remember that at all.
Really? It was August-22-2011. Episode #11656 . This is the part Brady was trying to get rid of Dario at Pup and he hated it.

Philip had no idea the woman was an addict. He should have had at least a hint. I mean Dena was involved. (Jennifer, Hope, Carly...)
I pointed out to someone today, that if Deimos had pictures of them dining together, having sex and her dead body, then he also has pictures of her in the room ALONE shooting up or snorting coke and just didn't give those photos to Philip.

~ Okay, today is the first day I wondered if SN's dyes his facial hair?!
I mean, I thought that was obvious? He clearly dyes the hair on his head because he's going gray. That usually means a man's/his beard is going gray too. :)
For whatever reason, today was the first day I actually noticed it. I'm not sure why I haven't up until today.

Love Shawn. Belle is stuck at 14 years old. I really hope Clair goes to live with Shawn and then Belle can play all she wants. It seems that Marlena is aware of what a selfish brat Belle is. So nice to see Marlena.

Nicole and Theresa...ugh. Bored by the insecurities of them both.

Brady....sigh. I just have no interest at all in Summer. Don't care at all. I would MUCH rather see our vets (John, Marlena, Justin, Adrienne, Lucas, Julie, Doug) that we never see featured instead and of course Chabby. I am insulted they wasted a lovely beach on Summer. Couldn't we have used the location shoot on someone we DO care about?

Poor Steve and Kayla. So sad for them both.

I like this conversation between Belle and Marlena, but I'm wondering why they thought this set was a good spot for it to happen, lol

Yeah, all I really remember about Dario from his first run was that he was dating Melanie and he got a job in Argentina. I remember thinking she was too upset about him leaving because I thought they hadn't been dating long.

If we are going by how old she should be in relation to her aunt, then 17 since Claire was born before Ciara (though I can't remember who was pregnant longer: Belle or Hope) but I think they swapped their ages around so she's 15 to Ciara's 16.

I don't know why they did that though. It is perfectly normal to have a niece/nephew older than their aunt/uncle. Both Brady and Shawn are older than Philip who is their uncle. But of course they never bring up that connection at all nor do they bring up that Brady and Shawn are cousins.

So it was a set-up. Philip was being framed by Diemos.

I think they did it because the actress they cast for Claire is younger than the actress they cast to play Ciara. Even though VJ is playing Ciara at about 16/17, she's 20 in real life. ORK plays Claire at around 15/16 and is 16 in real life.

Plus, as it is, SORASed Claire is old for her parents' ages, so I imagine they want to play her as a slightly younger one of the teens.

I'm vaguely excited about Summer because I'm hoping that she's insane because of something Daniel did. It might spice Theresa up a little too if a very unpredictable and slightly mentally unstable woman moves to Salem and has a connection to Brady. I feel like I'd like Theresa best with a moderate amount of scheming and spunk.

This episode had a whole of nothingness in it. The only reason I liked Brady and Dario's scenes is because they both looked hot. I DGAF about Summer or Brady's quest otherwise. Whatevs to Victor/Phillip.

Theresa's fears and insecurities are a no. They don't add anything to her character or relationship. Jen Lilley looks better with darker hair, by the way and that dress she was wearing was fugly as hell.

Nicole is irrelevant - she needs to go.

Kayla and Steve's scenes I enjoyed. They reminded me of the time she found out about Marina. Even if one considers the Stava incident rape, I think it's a bit unreasonable to think Kayla's immediate reaction upon seeing that clip should be understanding and support of Steve. She's got her own valid emotions which is why I thought her reaction was appropriate. I'm glad Steve realized this too and that he didn't offer up elaborate justifications. His genuine empathy went a long way.

Didn't care for Belle and Marlena's scenes. I wish Marlena had told her to stop her whining.

Re: Steve and Kayla. I don't think that most of us that did consider it rape took issue with Kayla's reactions. Or at least I didn't. She wasn't in that room, the video clearly didn't include Ava's threats, and Steve had lied to her. I totally understand her reaction (particularly because however I feel about it, the show isn't playing it as rape) and thought it was entirely appropriate for what she knows.

But i do think his genuine emotion affected her, particularly when he said he hated Ava and hated himself. And I think that's important too. There is no reason this has to be an either/or situation where she either immediately understands or never forgives him (and I'm not saying you were saying that, just speaking in generalities). The best stuff is always in the muddled, middle ground. And I look forward to watching SN and MBE navigate the way through it.

John and Kayla could have a scene or two next week, and I would enjoy that. It's been so rare. He could find her in the park after her run in with Ava, and figure out that Steve didn't get to her in time, and that she found out in the worst possible way.

He could tell her how upset Steve was, that Steve was being eaten alive by this whole thing, and that she might be upset right now, but she might want not want to make quick decisions about this thing.

He could catch her up on a few things, too, unless this whole parentage thing is a secret?

Oh I'd love a John and Kayla scene especially after he was the first person Stvee told about this. His perspective on Steve's feelings could really help Kayla. I also hope at some point Marlena and Kayla talk. They definitely have scenes together next month but I think it's about something else.

Thank you JCP.

I just wish they would stop bringing women from Steve's past as a story. Give them some other story for a change.

I'm just looking forward to the day that Kayla gets to talk to somebody that isn't Steve, Joey, Ava or Roman (okay she did talk to Fynn in the hospital but that doesn't count). And, even more, I'd like her to get to have one conversation with somebody (who isn't Steve, Joey, or Ava) about her feelings.

As much as I have enjoyed a lot of the Steve and Kayla scenes since Steve's return, it's gotten a bit ridiculous that the woman who was everybody else's sounding board for years still doesn't have anybody to talk to about HER feelings. Hell I'd even take Caroline, even though the woman clearly doesn't care about her daughter at all.

I often think this is the biggest difference between the good old days and today. Conversations between friend/family that gave insight into a character's feelings and POV were a regular part of storytelling, not the rare treat they are today. And the lack of those scenes is always a detriment.

I didn't mean to imply that everyone who shares your position about the rape felt that way. I've just seen numerous posts, here and other places, about the Steve and Kayla stuff sucking because they're playing it like an affair. I think it's too early to tell how exactly they will approach it but I do think Kayla will eventually come to accept that Steve was blackmailed into it. However, that doesn't mean her current reaction is any less understandable.

They're writing it much more balanced than I thought they would. One of my gripes with Steve's return was how insensitive towards Kayla, I found him to be. I thought he should've been a lot more aware that despite his motives being noble, he did end up hurting her. Instead he was a bit oblivious to it. Here he acts differently because while he still maintains that he didn't it for her and as forced into it, he acknowledges that she's hurt by what happened, regardless. Their relationship has a lot more substance if they're aware of the other's pain (which we know Kayla will be eventually).
