Poor, poor, poor Eric Martsof, the true victim in this travesty. He is basically being forced to become Shawn Christian/Daniel
Well, I like Eric Martsolf and Brady, but to be fair it's not that Brady had that much of a personality before all of this started. :blulaugh: :blulaugh: That's the saddest part

AZ loves what she's in now though, which I don't know if it's a continuation of what we're seeing or something else. She says it surpasses the baby switch story as her favorite.
Really?! Where did you see/hear this? Copyright Violation/Post will be removed! I am assuming she's referring to what will air in the coming months.
She got some meaty material in Jan. but it's really not much of a story.

[This was in a sidebar box on one of the pages of her Digest interview. There was no context provided.]
I took that to mean that her tastes have changed. Not that one is better than the other.

That's interesting.
Haven't read the article but the thought that the dead brother / sister's heart is longing for his her sister /brother is incestuous. IE THE WAY DANIELS HEART IS LEADING BRADY. The thought that these two people met each other through a horrible circumstances and managed to fall in love with each other is nice IE NOT WHAT"S GOING ON ON DAYS. This real life story is beautiful IMO, I had tears in my eyes when I first watched the video a while ago. They aren't mystifying it. It's simple and real.
Days made some kind of bad mystery out of their story. I also blame the scriptwriters - we really don't need so many Daniel mentions in this particular story. Brady having Daniel's memories (ugh! shaving!) wasn't needed at all. He didn't have to go to California to look for Daniel's past, he could have gone there for rehab and accidentally saved this woman from drowning.

In some recent interview she talked about how she wished that Nicole could carry on grieving for Daniel and how she thought that Nicole didn't need a new man right now. Also, how she felt guilty for being allowed to keep her job while SC got fired. Honestly though, I could not suffer through months and months of her grieving for Daniel. :blulaugh:

I do think originally it was supposed to be a Nicole Brady Theresa triangle and JG changed it to Theresa Brady Dan's heart Summer quad which makes no sense at all. I think Nicole will be in Dario's orbit then move to Deimos. I hope that's the story she's talking about.

I can't feel bad for JL after bragging on Dishin Days that she's so lucky, always gets the best storylines and then made fun of the Elephant Story. Now it's her turn! I'm still not sure what to think about this story but I'll take it for Brady over what he's been doing the past year or so.
I don't feel bad for JL one bit and I feel even less bad for her character. She basically got a free pass and suddenly everyone thinks that she's some reinvented saint? Please. Not a chance. From the standpoint that her character will suffer because of this storyline, I will probably slog through it. But seriously, EM is so much more deserving of at least a halfway decent storyline, not having his new heart trying to live vicariously through his body. I know this whole storyline isn't SC's doing, but I can't help but feel more than slightly miffed in his general direction.
On the other hand, EM got a location shooting, some other actors in a similar age range got walking papers instead (GV, SC) or are barely on (BD). Maybe it's not that bad.

That sounds like it surpasses her previous favorite storyline to me. I wasn't quoting her word for word, but that is what she was saying. Hence the words "used to be."

If anyone wants evidence that even those of us who think Josh is a decent writer know he's not perfect, please reference this storyline. Given when MW was hired and how this is going, I'm pretty sure this is mostly Josh and not Dena. And nothing about this is good. Maybe by some miracle it will get better, but ... Yuck.
I thought this was Dena's idea with her love for Daniel.
I think the Brady/Nicole part of the story was Dena. I think her idea was that Daniel's heart would push them together, etc. (as we saw right after the accident and with Theresa and Nicole's dreams). I think Josh changed that and brought in this Summer stuff. Knowing Dena, I don't think the original story would have been better, just differently bad. Damn it, Josh. Brady & Nicole growing closer was the only thing I was enjoying about this stupid heart story.

ITA, I don't know why EM is more deserving of something better, not when you compare what he gets to what some others get. Plus, he's not all that.
What Days actors get beautiful location shoots on soaps anymore? EM is damn lucky.

Although I will say, that whenever that song starts playing, I start laughing so hard, so at least this storyline is providing me with some comedy.

Most of the actors involved, I think both MA and AZ, made fun of the elephant story.
This story seems to be this year's equivalent of last year's elephant story. Or worse.
Brady is always in horrible stories and so is Nicole. AZ loves what she's in now though, which I don't know if it's a continuation of what we're seeing or something else. She says it surpasses the baby switch story as her favorite. I sure as hell hope it's not related to this story. Yeah, but JL isn't in the same league as AZ in my book. This may irritate some people on here, but IMO, she has absolutely no business in having any kind of clout to manipulate storylines whatsoever. Even though I don't agree with how AS went around trying to do the same thing (i.e. manipulating storylines), I get why she thought that she could (meaning, she was on the show for 20 years and she had loyalty/longevity on her side). I don't think JL has paid her dues on the show to even sniff at something like that.
The way I see it, AZ and MA can have an opinion on the elephant story because they were the ones that had to suffer through it. The whole thing didn't involve JL period. And...even though I couldn't stand Serena, I do feel bad for MA since I heard such great things about her and they proceeded to throw her into such a crap storyline that never gave her a chance for people to actually develop any kind of compassion for her and her character.
End rant.
