Last time I checked the drinking age was still 21 so turning 18 in a few doesn't cut it.
There are a few states out there where the age is 18 but at least one of thpse says that`s only for beer.

However, since Salem seems to be close to Chicago, the age there is 19 even for just beer.
Really? I honestly don't feel like teenagers of that age are mature and experienced enough to be drinking , but that just me.

Well, I didn't care for today at all. Didn't need Steve recapping the entire story to Hope. If they're going to play it as infidelity (like most of the show played today), then I don't need to see all these scenes of him feeling sorry for himself.

It was nice to see Kayla slap Ava, but all together it was way too much catfight for me. Kayla has a million reasons to want to kill Ava that have nothing to do with her taunting about sleeping with Steve. The storyline is basic and only works when SN and MBE are in the same scene.

The Chase/Andre scenes, just no. And they were endless.

At least there's some intrigue around Summer.

I found a lot of Josh's show in the fall frustrating, for different reasons than Higley's. Today reminded me of that feeling.

Thank you JCP.

Poor Ava, she shot her wad and Kayla called her bluff. She won't ever be able to control any of the Johnsons again.

Unless they changed Ciara's birthday date yet again, she doesn't turn anything for at least 5 months.
I don't think they changed her birthday yet. She said in a few months.

LOL Casey Moss is basically taking the job of the extra who plays the cop that shows up at a crime scene.

LOL! Ava's going to need some ice packs for her face. Not only did Kayla backhand her today, she punched her as well ... loved watching Ava get a little of what's coming to her. Ava did work Kayla though and Kayla knows it. She told Roman that Ava can push all her buttons. Ava knew Roman was coming so she deliberately provoked Kayla into hitting her so Roman would catch Kayla in the act of being violent towards her.

OMG Chase today. The one plus is that he KNOWS and he admits he raped Ciara but his conversation with Andre raised all these red flags. He EXPECTS Andre to be there for him, to look after him, to provide for him ... good Lord you've only had a few conversations with the man and you're totally ignoring the warning that your Father gave you about Andre. I'm surprised that Andre didn't crush him like the little gnat he is.

Oh Ciara, you have to tell your mother. She's not going to give up on you and Chase playing nice ... she has no idea why you've done this sudden 180 where Chase is concerned and how can she if you don't tell her. Theo knows something is really wrong as well. At some point you're going to have to tell someone.

Liked Steve and Hope today. It was great to see those two in scenes together again. I'm also glad that Steve told Joe about what he did with Ava.

Oh Kayla, you are so going to regret not letting Roman lock Ava up ... sigh. Mind you Ava probably would have got out on bail anyway but still ...

Brady, Summer, Nicole and Johnny come lately Theresa - just one big yawn. What an atrocious storyline.

Ava said the sex video is going to go viral and be evidence in court
If you released a sex video without consent of the other party surely Ava would be the one in court.

Remember the other day when Steve told John about what he had to do to save Kayla? We didn't see it, it happened off screen. Why couldn't they do the same thing today with Hope and Joey? I mean really, spare me. I won't complain.

I really liked the scenes today (which definitely proves that we all see things differently). :)

I'm glad that Steve talked to Hope (although I'm still hoping Kayla gets to talk eventually). Even though the show isn't playing it as rape, they aren't playing it as straight-up infidelity either. Everything about Steve shows how upset he is about everything and I don't mind that at all. And I appreciate that Hope at least paid lip service to the idea that Steve didn't have any other options. I know it won't satisfy everyone, but it at least acknowledges that, right or wrong, Steve felt that way.

I appreciate that Steve talked to Joey himself. And that he acknowledged that he doesn't expect forgiveness.

And I thoroughly enjoyed Kayla taking on Ava. Maybe I shouldn't, but I did. The first backhand was a pleasant surprise. And I know Ava was pushing all of Kayla's buttons, but I'm glad that - whatever doubts Kayla might have internally - she stayed strong. She referenced the blackmail and didn't back off of that. Kayla might be hurting, but she's smart enough to know that Steve hates Ava and wouldn't have slept with her voluntarily. And while not locking the woman up is going to come back to haunt her, I do love that she wasn't cowed by the threats.

The only part I didn't appreciate was Ava's little "he wants me when he thinks he's supposed to want you" bit. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate it when they try to boil everything down to "wild and sexy" vs. "good and loving." They did it with Marina 26 years ago and it's insulting on so many levels.

The rest of the show was measurably better than it has been. I mean, I still don't care about Winter so I'm not talking about that. But, the Ciara/Theo/Hope stuff was good in showing Ciara's reactions to what happened. And I'm glad Chase recognizes it for what it is, even if icky Andre is trying to convince him otherwise. It was also nice that it didn't feel like the show was trying to get quite as much done in one episode today.

I'm just going to pretend that there has been no BTS news in the last week and focus on the good as much as possible.

The drinking age in Illinois is 21, it used to be 19 & it was changed in the late 70's early 80's.

The Summer story doesn't have a chance of being popular. It's all about a dead character whom a significant number of viewers loathed. Peopled by characters who have suffered from proximity to said dead character or to Theresa, a living character whom a significant number of viewers loathed.

What were the writers thinking?

The bubble is awful, but Steve going around town confessing his sins is ridiculous too. Hopefully that's the last of it.

I really do hate this kind of thing. Let them be 16. I get the actors ( aside from ORK) are older, but have them deal with HS issues ( Degrassi stuff) before aging them to college with cancelled classes all the time.

I wonder if dead Daniel has a psychic twin connection with Summer & knew she was
going to kill herself so that is why Brady has been dreaming about her so much .
What is weird is Summer didn't know he was dead so

The storyline sucks unless it is someone's brilliant way of ushering Dario & Summer to Salem
