I love AZ, but I really don't know why she said Greg wanted a change and he quit?! That was absolutely not true...the man repeatedly said in interviews that when the new writers came on last spring, he was told they were writing Eric out before FOL even aired. His contract was up in August so they extended it out to wrap up his story. He loved Ericole, and wanted them back! Heck he is still liking Ericole tweets on twitter! Sounds like she shouldn't have said anything if she was unsure, because all this has done is make me really suspicious that it was "her idea for her character to be with Daniel". IF it's true that AZ asked to be paired with SC onscreen, I'm really disappointed in her because she has to know who her better pairing was...and it certainly wasn't Dicole! She screwed up having her best pairing given a chance at happiness and a family! I won't be shipping any of her new pairings...sorry...it will never be as good as what she had with Eric/GV. I love my girl, but she screwed herself. :(
I agree, she just screwed herself. How arrogant of her to think her boyfriend deserves a better story/screentime? No longer a fan and she is probably one of the most talented actresses on the show. He already got a new primetime gig -so good for him. SC was eating the show alive LONG before Dicole! I don't see how AZ can be blamed for that. They weren't even dating IRL yet when this show became the Jonas hour.

I agree, but she's a schemer and a manipulator. She is Sami's cousin after all.
She hasn't schemed since July I think. Yeah, which sucks. I loved that version of her not the goody goody one we have now

They have no faith that Days is going to be able to fully handle the rape fallout. I agree.

THAAO: They knew it was only a matter of time before Joe had to go. The way they did it was like Greek Theater. In the 80’ and the 90’s, the Hortons and the others are always lovely people. They always smelled like a rose. When (former DAYS co head writers) Josh Griffith comes along, he says, “No, let’s make these characters human.” So the way Hope shoots Stefano brings in shock value. I think the audience couldn’t believe it when it happened.
So it was JG's idea? And what is it with the plural form "former Days co head writers"?

I've always been a fan of Ari Zucker and that blind item sounds an awful lot like her and what happened with the situation. If that interview wouldn't have come out just this past week making it seem that she lied about GV and how he left, then I would have had a doubt, but now I don't. Frankly I suspected an awful long time ago that something or someone affected the Ericole storyline, knowing it's her has totally soured me to her now....I really hate when my fave actors push their ideas on the writing team....it's turned me off to some of the actors instantly and this is the case here too.

I was thinking the making him human part may have been what Thaao was referring to as Josh and is what's coming up when he goes to jail and after.
Because he hasn't been human at all really.

So it was JG's idea? And what is it with the plural form "former Days co head writers"? Based on pretty much everything the actors have said, I don't think they really have any idea who writes what. Griffith was on sent so they attribute everything to him. Griffith and HIgley's names have been on their scripts since last February. The actors usually aren't too aware of all the politics and changes going on in the writing.

I love AZ, but I really don't know why she said Greg wanted a change and he quit?! I have the magazine. Technically she did *NOT* say he quit. She said "Greg wanted to make a change. He has good reasons for moving forward in his life to do other things."
That wording is sort of odd, and therefore a summary on another messageboard interpreted it as her saying he quit. But she didn't say he quit.
