Depending on when the pics were taken, it looks like Hope's house set and Nicole's apartment set are still around....

Apparently he'll also be posting some rehearsal pics, but can't quite yet for plot reasons. Kinda fun.

JR's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lissaandjamesreynolds/
All I can tell from the pic of the Hope's living room set, is that, unless they changed the frame, the pic of Bo is missing from on top of the chest of drawers under the mirror. Everything else is identical to what's there already.
There are 2 other pics in the room that aren't there at the moment, but I'm gonna guess that at least one of them contains BB's Shawn in it.

If you don't know him, he played Brian, a love interest for Sonny, a few years ago.
Oh, Brant.

Nicole has been such a waste for years. AZ is super talented but she hasn't done anything for me in a long time. Between this possible "lie" and the way she waxes poetic over Daniel and SC... I'd be much happier if she were the one leaving and GV were staying. He's done much more with the material given and Eric is even the better character at this point. Not to mention GV seemed to like his job.
It makes me kind of sad to "like" this comment simply because of how much I used to love Nicole as a character.

It floors me that he doesn't think Andre is cartoonish.
Maybe he does, but wants to keep his job so he's covering. :-/
He doesn't seem like the type of person to keep mum about that sort of thing, though. I think he's even said in the past that he spoke up before??

I love AZ, but I really don't know why she said Greg wanted a change and he quit?!
I have the magazine.
Technically she did *NOT* say he quit.
She said "Greg wanted to make a change. He has good reasons for moving forward in his life to do other things."

That wording is sort of odd, and therefore a summary on another messageboard interpreted it as her saying he quit.
But she didn't say he quit.
But she's implying that it was his decision.
Maybe that's just what he told her even though it was something else?

I guess this was the tea that Jamey Giddens was talking about.
All in a reason as to why Higley needs to leave!

I don't think JR as Abe is leaving DAYS. We would have heard something from the Soap Insiders.

Either way it's not consistent with his own words.
Yeah, I don't think he wanted to make a change. If the writers still wanted him he'd still be there.

Now I'm someone who's completely Team Greg here but I do have to say that we don't know the whole story. I always feel like when something like Days letting GV go comes out of the blue there's a reason behind it. I hope it's not AZ's influence. I can't think that it is. Her wording in that article is tres weird. But I'm going to give her benefit of the doubt.

And I'm going to hope upon hope that once Greg's finished taping the OWN show that the writers decide to spring Eric Brady from jail and have him re-enter Salem. Because his story could be sooooo good.

Each amazing performance he gives on the way to his exit just makes the show's decision hurt that much more.
So true his performance is amazingly perfect and that's the saddest part in all of this.

And Eric and Jennifer are surprisingly doing a great job in that "pairing" which seemed odd on paper but work on screen IMO..

Yes, I also don't get this...but that decision was not on AZ it was on the EP and the writing team. After this show used Eric in priest mode for what I believe was a very successful run, they should have really had him go back to the priest hood right after Ericole broke up....before Serena and the elephant and all that has come after. No need for that crap. Nicole and Dan could have started a relationship with Eric looking somber from the rectory at what is transpiring and then Nicole gets her job back at the rectory and we have the real temptation coming into play. Heck I would have even married Danicole, with Eric officiating and having real reasons to stop the wedding himself but decides he can't do that....Danicole are married and then Nicole and Eric get closer and closer and one thing leads to the other and BAM, we get a ONS, that leads to an affair, which leads to Nicole being pregnant....who's the daddy would come out of that with Eric wanting to confess to being with her, but he can't because he is a priest....oh lord that damn story would have been so damn good....then the fall out would be Dan spying them making love one day and he would call the archdiocese for an investigation....Nicole would have a high risk pregnancy that would actually not end in a miscarriage or still birth and the baby would be Eric's....the story writes itself....but instead we get this disaster with Ericole barely on and when they are..>Eric gets drunk and and kills Dan....
I like this idea. Definitely better than the crap we're getting now.
This would have been a fantastic storyline!

It seems that he didn't at first since Higley was benched for 6 months while Josh stayed.

I'd be much happier if she were the one leaving and GV were staying.
I'm not sure why both couldn't stay, and Ericole go their separate ways??

Couples split all the time and both characters remain on the show.

I'd say for whatever reason, the writers weren't interested in writing for the character of Eric Brady?

I'm sorry to see him go, but I don't think it was ever an either/or scenario.

You had me up to Eric betraying his vows...even for Nicole. I would change that slightly to them NOT having sex, but maybe giving into some heavy kissing. But I'm a little more reserved in my Ericole fantasy ;)

and if that was the case, then she really had no confidence in that writing team...because the beauty of Nicole and Eric would have been that she didn't have to change at all...that he could love her with her faults, while they would occasionally get her in trouble (Shredgate)....I think Shredgate was stupid but the actual reason she shredded the documents could have made sense if Nicole would have overheard him talking about not being sure if he could make a decision to permanently leave the priesthood. Her 'old ways' would have lead her to shred the documents while we see Eric make up his mind that he was done with the priesthood regardless because he loved Nicole. It happened that way anyway, which is why I don't understand why Ericole was written so badly after that shredding thing....unless that is the part she was talking about...how Nicole was written to be so wanting to get his forgiveness than she pretty much forgot about who she was and didn't move on for months....
It should have been written that way, but it wasn't. He didn't accept her when she did bad things. I had hoped the accident was being used to dirty him up a bit, so that Nicole didn't have to be so perfect.

I thought the rectory affair was awesome writing, other than Nicole going on that stupid apology tour when she was not to blame for everything bad between her, Daniel and Jennifer. But per usual it was just Nicole's faults that were pointed out and the other 2 were written to be blameless.

From shredgate on, they were a hot mess, and Nicole spent 6 months trying to make up for what she did while Eric hated her, and then the hate got even worse after Serena showed up and he got to throw in her face continually how much better of a person Serena was. Then forgiveness that came out of nowhere and everything that had transpired was swept under the carpet.

I don't know what the point of FOL was, I assumed a new beginning, but then Griffley took over and the very first Ericole scene they penned had Eric telling her she was still the same vindictive and money hungry person she had always been. She proved him wrong by giving the money to charity, but Eric wasn't privy to that.

Personally I think Tomsell were on their way to reuniting them, and Griffley was just not interested. JMO!

Haha Pretty much my reaction yesterday but hey 50 Shades has done wonders or at least raised Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's profile so maybe this role will be huge for him :D B-)

Idk, Nicole still had her edge til Dan entered the scene again. When she worked at the rectory, she still went head to head with Kristen, Vargas, and slept with Brady. She still was snarky, but not the goody good she was with Dan. I don't get how AZ was worried about her character changing during Ericole, but was fine with Dicole. Dicole did her character no favors. Nicole's relationship with Dan was toxic. She had to change so much while he remained a total tool. :soapbox:
Exactly! They should have continued to write her being sneaky and not following the rules. You don't have to kidnap babies and plot murder to be interesting. Nicole still had her edge until Daniel. Part of the fun of Ericole were their arguments. That could easily have continued in a fun way for years.

Nah, I'm sure he told her "just wait until we get renewed and I'll bring you back and more in charge." You're giving Corday and the show too much credit. They deserve cancellation at this point.

I don't want it cancelled. I want Corday to be forced to get rid of Dena and hire someone else.
