So instead of making her an eggbaby which would have been annoying but somewhat made sense, they are saying that Maggie gave birth to Summer pre-Mickey, WHAT?
Honest to God, though, I'm actually okay with it. I haven't watched today's show yet, but I actually like that Maggie gave birth pre-Marty Hansen. I could actually buy that. This is the story that should've happen when MarDar decided to make Daniel Maggie's son. They could've easily explained it that Maggie gave birth to a child she gave up because she just couldn't raise a child by herself on the farm. The woman was crippled! No way could she take care of a child. Easy as pie. Maggie is Daniel's mom, Melanie's grandma and it doesn't insult the audience's intelligence. Instead, MarDar decided to go with the surrogate route, which was just stupid.
Both are stupid. The whole purpose of Maggie being a surrogate mother for Evan Whyland and his wife was so she could have the experience of giving birth to a child, which she could never do being married to Mickey. That was her rationale for doing it. So now it looks as though she's been lying her whole life.
It`s either that or a REALLY bad case of amnesia.

Something is wrong in the universe when I'm despising Belle Black and feeling genuine sympathy for Theresa Donovan.

It's like there's a ban or something on bringing on the character of Sarah Horton. Who created her? Isn't there an urban legend that the writer who creates a character gets compensated when said character is used on a soap? Jeez! What's a guy go to to do get this woman in Salem?! I guess I'll continue to assume every 35+ year old actress cast on this show will be Sarah...
I wonder if most of the writers even remember she exists. She was mentioned at least once in 2015 wasn't she?

March 30, 2015.
Maggie received a text from Sarah.
Sarah said Sarah was thinking of becoming a surrogate mother herself.
At the moment that Maggie received the text, Maggie was with Melanie. Maggie told Melanie what the text said.

Maggie didn't seem surprised to hear from Sarah.
It would seem that Maggie and Sarah have been in touch with one another.
Also Maggie didn't seem worried that Sarah was too unstable to undertake becoming a surrogate.
It would seem that Maggie thought Sarah was mentally healthy.

But the March 30th episode was written by TomSell.

Nicole said yesterday something about finding a file on Summer in Daniel's office, so why is she still clueless about her? Wasn't there anything IN the file?
Yesterday, Nicole told Theresa what she read in the file and it wasn`t much more than you`d find on her driver`s license.
Stupid. Why would he bother to keep that little bit of info in a file?

I don't know Maggie's history.. what was wrong with her that she couldn't care for a baby and gave it up for adoption? Did Maggie ever mention giving a baby away in all her time on the show?
Well, when Marty (aka Mickey with amnesia) ended up at Maggie's farm, she was crippled and single. She and Mickey married, but he was sterile so they couldn't have kids. A big part of Maggie's story back in the day was how badly she wanted a child. She and Mickey adopted Melissa. They had Janice as their ward. And, eventually, Maggie decided to be a surrogate so "she could experience pregnancy and having a child." That child was Sarah (originally believed to be fathered by Evan whatshisname, but revealed to be Neil Curtis's kid later).

So, no, Maggie never mentioned giving up a child before she met Mickey. And her whole "I want to experience pregnancy" think doesn't really work if she had actually been pregnant at some point in time. So, assuming Bummer is a child Maggie had before she met Mickey and Maggie gave her up for adoption, then it's an even harder sell than John's fling with Tori that produced Paul.

The boy saw the comet and he felt as though his life had meaning.

So by logic and timeline, Summer should be at least 20 years older than Brady.

:blulaugh: So Maggie had amnesia when she met amnesiac Mickey/Marty (but either forgot she had it, or never mentioned it to him or anyone else). :drunk: I suppose they think those of us who watched Maggie in the 70s and 80s are either dead or senile (and not in the key demographics).

If Summer was born to Maggie before her and Mickey, around what year would that be?
In real time, Maggie met Mickey in 1973. Now mind you, that was prior to Hope and Jennifer being born. So that's not quite the same time frame in Salem time.
Wow so pre 1973? :roflol: Given how they soras people on this show she should be older than Maggie!

They're having Theresa act jealous and possessive just like Nicole used to be.

OMG Brady mentions having a dad!!! REALLY!!??? I thought the tragedy was meant to bring him closer to Jarlena not Maggie/Dan/Summer.

All Summer and Brady's conversation Daniel was my rock, my savour and my best friend for saving my life. Two dummies have nothing in common and sits there to praise Dirty Tan. :drunk: :puke:

I can't stand annoying Theresa and I can't stand Thrady together. Save Brady and get rid of Theresa.
