I'd rather take Egg Baby Love over my favorites becoming murderers and rapists.

Joey must think pretty clearly for a drunk. That fire alarm plan of his was pretty clever. He sure didn't look too intoxicated to me. I guess if commiting murder in an intoxicated state absolves you of responsibility we better get ready for a mass exodus from prisons across America. Sorry, no sympathy for "poor wittle Joey" & Stayla can rot in prison right next to him
Wait if Joey, Steve and Kayla deserve prison then so should Hope, Rafe and Chase. I am so confused, how will this work out for Aiden/Haiden. They should all go to prison :)

If you actually read my post, you would have seen I said he is responsible for his actions. You seem content with taking cheap shots. And I won't lie, I can't wait until Chase is gone. I've never had any use for him nor Aiden. I am looking forward to them being history.
So Chase has no excuse, but Joey may have been drunk or high....what am I missing? I guess I missed the cheap shot too, unless disagreeing with a statement suddenly qualifies. I would think Andre's mind games would be just as valid of a mitigating circumstance. Chase has just experienced incredible trauma & essentially has no one but Hope (who he fears is a burden to). Joey has two parents that still wipe his nose for him & was throwing a tantrum that a woman he was trying to bed played him & his family. Chase owns his actions & feels remorse. All indications are Joey let's mommy & daddy clean up his mess. So if I'm going to say they both own their actions but.......Chase has a hell of alot more "buts" than Joey.

No worries, that's kind of how I felt about Bo, so I get it. The difference is, I think Aiden's time in Salem is just getting started.......
Eric was drunk - he's still getting 3 -12 years and he didn't even intend to kill his holy Jonas.

Well, Will shot EJ and Lucas went to jail for it. There is a precedent for them to "get away with it".

I hope it turns out that Joey didn't kill Ava. That the smothering wasn't what killed her.
I hope so too. I did notice that Ava seemed really drugged when Joe was in her room. I'm going to hold onto the hope that it's because somebody else did something before Joey got there.

I just hope that Joey decides to own up to what he did and his parents won't let him. If not, then he goes down a lot in my mind.

And Lucas wasn't in jail for very long.

I'm actually shocked they just had a kid say "fag." The worst Nick could say was "gay boy."
I was taken aback by that too! And I didn't realize that the boy called that was Henry UNTIL Paul saw him in HTS! :'(

There's already a spoiler pretty much saying exactly this. Joey wants to confess, but S/K don't let him.

They had Nick say fag or faggot. I think even Paul called himself a fag at some point, when he was doing the interview with Will. It's not new.

Oh well if that's the case I really want Joey to fight against his parents and make sure that he can confess. Though I do hope that he does but I have a feeling that it might be after JL's contract is up and he's sent off to jail.

Why are they having Claire avoid calling Hope her grandmother? There was no problem with it before.

I don't know what'll happen to Joey, but since he killed a villain, I'd be surprised if this story led to his exit at any point. Killing villains and killing good guys usually render different results on a soap.

I'm not sure why JLa's contract status is even relevant at this point, since they can fire him after any thirteen week cycle anyway. It's obvious that he's been taping long after the Ava story ended, so no matter if he is punished or not, it's not going to be offscreen.

They may send Joey back to the attic above the pub where he spent most of his time except for Christmas. :blulaugh:

I think it's somewhat dark, but compared to Ben strangling people and executing a midwife? Yeah, the Joey thing is tamer.

Same here.

Ciara's rape is dark. The stuff in the Fall with Ben and Aiden was dark. I don't think Hope killing Stefano was really that dark because it was played way too campy and took away from the seriousness of it

It's interesting because while I do think Days could lighten up a little, it's been dark quite often through the years. Maybe we didn't see quite so much death but the show has had a darker tone to it alot of the years except when it strayed into being way too campy. I was thinking alot about the early 1990's recently (1990-1994) and it was very dark. You had major characters leaving and being killed off, rape, murder...then, of course, you had a woman getting buried alive. Now, they did do a better job of tossing in a bit more comedy and lightness but it was still dark. Go back to Fall 2010 where we had Sami shooting EJ in the head, Arianna getting hit and killed by a car, Johnny having eye cancer, Vivian and Maggie both being locked in a sarcophagus while Isabella's remains were placed in a pet cemetery, and later on we had the two Rafe story which had Rafe traumatizing poor Allie and raping Sami and also killing Fay. Meanwhile, around that time, Jennifer's heart was removed from her chest in a prison story that involved Hope being abused while Chloe was suffering from post partum, tried to kill herself while leaving her baby on the pier, became a hooker and would end up being beaten by an attacker who was targeting woman. That was only a mere 5-6 years ago.

It really doesn't bother me and I know it may seem like a bit much in regards to the teens but I honestly would rather have them have heavier material than having them be all "afterschool special" like. That isn't to say I want them to just have rape and murder stories but having them be more involved in serious story instead of just filler and nothing but over the top love stories and triangles is far more interesting to me because Days just doesn't do well with writing teens when they aren't dealing with heavy drama. The last blast teens I liked but when they didn't have serious drama going on it was just way to annoying to watch them. They would regularly come off preachy, too innocent, and boring as all hell.

Paul is never on and when he is, his scenes are random and irrelevant.
:flipoff: Josh, Dena, Beth, whoever writes this shit.
I loved seeing him today! Paul was the best part of the episode, IMO.
