I wonder if Victor or Deimos let it out about that girl dying while with Philip? And maybe her father shows up. Thankfully Chad tells Abby. I figured they would have him keep it from her and then have her run into Ben. Summer is Maggie's daughter? Oh gee what a surprise. :rolleyes: I have a feeling Theresa is going to be doing things behind Brady's back to get Summer out of town. Just like Sami would do.
I think it might be the other way around. Summer is obviously gonna be obsessed with Brady and try to cause tension between Thrady maybe even do something to try to get rid of Theresa.
Gosh, I hope so! And I hope she succeeds! Co-sign. This story sucks, but I am allllllll for Brady dumping Theresa or someone hurting her.

Hmm. So, perhaps no mass firings of talent this time?
[twitter=nicholsevansfan/status/705141386446663680]
God, I still can't believe they seemingly let him walk instead of firing Higley.
[twitter=nicholsevansfan/status/705142021296562177]
UGH. I don't like any of those characters currently. Pass.
[twitter=nicholsevansfan/status/705142730133893120]
I am really nervous about what will air after the Olympics.
Agreed. Quan's favorite characters sound a hell of a lot like Dena's favorites. So, we could be in for "double" Dena, if you know what I mean. Just...no thanks. I don't exactly think Kate is a Higley favorite.

Am I the only one tired of this "vigilante" stuff? Hope with Stefano/Malcolm, Joey/Ava, and now the teens/Chase- just go to the police. Geez. :rolleyes: It's not edgy. JG thinks he's making the characters more human :rolleyes:

We already did the Kristen gets revenge on John and Marlena. I don't need that again
You mean when she first came back in 2012? That was so lackluster thanks to TomSell's low energy writing. It was the story that got me hooked to the show again. I loved it! It was one of the best re-introductions of a character (after a decade and a half of absence). It was a relatively short stint but a lot of viewers (even those who weren't watching in the 90s) still remember the character and want her back. I think Kristen's 2012-2013 return was definitely a success.

Except, I adore Kristen and despise Ava. Ava is the poor-man's Kristen. Unlike TB's Ava, Eileen Davidson is fantastic. Kristen can say and do anything she wants to Theresa, and I will root for her. I don't root for her against Marlena, but I sure as hell DO root for her against that ghastly, horrid, history-rewriting bitch Theresa. Kristen needs to come back and remind Theresa who is the HBIC.And it ain't Theresa.
The problem with that is that it would just make Theresa the poor victim and the intention would lead to Theresa being the one the majority would root for. That was the whole problem with the embryo stealing story. It was the beginning of Theresa being the victim, and bringing big bad Kristen back would only keep that scenerios going. While I'd love to see Theresa suffer, if it's at the hands of the evil Kristen it would only backfire on me because I'd have to put up with Theresa playing the victim again. My big fear is that Marlena sides with Theresa when Kristen returns and John/Marlena decide to work with Brady to protect "poor" Theresa from big meanie Kristen. Marlena feeling protective of Theresa and Thrady's chemistry-free romance would make me stabby.
I'd rather John and Marlena just stay out of it. I can't handle any snugly scenes with poor, victim, heroine Theresa. She will never be rootable for me.

I think Kristen's 2012-2013 return was definitely a success. I thought most of it was bad.
When TomSell took over from MarDar and once the DAYSaster was over, they sucked out all of the life from the show. Kristen's return was not an exception. It should have been huge and explosive and instead if was all so low-key. Hey look, Stefano is at a restaurant with Kristen. Kristen flies to Salem and chats with EJ and Chad. Kristen casually walks up to Marlena in the park. Once the re-introduction was settled most of that year was her sleeping with Brady and trying to keep the truth from him, first the mugger and then the rape of Eric.
The show only came alive a few times under TomSell (January, May and November 2013) but it never lasted for long.

I read the magazine stuff. The question to Ryan was who he likes to write dialogue for and he said Victor, Kate and Nicole. I think that's different from who he'd like to write stories for. I could imagine writing dialogue for characters who deliver one liners is more fun than what they usually get to do as dialogue writers.
Thank you for posting this! who he likes to write DIALOG for. That's a significant difference!

Thank you for posting this! who he likes to write DIALOG for. That's a significant difference! But he only wrote 50 scripts from 2008-2011: http://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/single/?p=9508036&t=9273237
He's been a breakdown writer since 2011.

I was just wondering with all the Kristen talk thought I might have missed something I think the discussion started because Ryan Quan said he liked writing anything Kristen in his S O D interview.

Unless we get a writer/writers who isn't a fan/aren't fans of a redeemed Theresa. It may be unlikely, but not impossible.

I just wish they hadn't put Ericole and Bristen (two couples I really liked) in the rape storyline.
