It's not getting the attention it needs, but I like how Jennifer's problem is actually working to center Eric. That actually was foreshadowed early on in January when Eric said he was going to make this count for something.

I'm not a fan of the current S&K story, so in a way I get the desire to move on, but they're just now to the point where I might be more interested in it...so blowing through it is annoying.

It really is difficult to see all of these people get away with actual intentional murders in the middle of Eric possibly facing a 14 year sentence for something accidental (though reckless) that he actually feels badly about. LIke...not just bad that he got caught or could go to prison. He actually feels badly that he ended a life. All three of these stories are okay individually (that's a lie...but the point is more that they all have some potential) but having them run simultaneously was really poorly planned.

Billy Flynn was great today. Chad is probably my favorite Josh character. Unfortunately (for me) this Chad walks a very thin line, and I'm constantly worried he's going to fall right off of it. But they got it right today. For me, it wasn't that he needed that closure with Stefano. It was more that he needed that conversation and Stefano was the right person to have it with.

Stefano was the only soap villain I LOVED to hate! I think it's because we never actually saw him KILL anyone. Granted he loved to torture and toy with people... but he would never flat out KILL someone.

I am pretty sure that made absolutely NO sense to anyone... but it makes sense to me! lol ;)
I totally hear you. I loved to hate Stefano! My favorite villain I loved to hate was Carl Hutchins, but Stefano is second fave of all time. But he did kill someone. He pushed Daniel Scott out of a window  :D

Today's show was really good.

Billy Flynn was the star, for sure. I still laugh every time I think about how frustrated I was when Days announced they were recasting a nobody character like Chad. And then BF showed up and completely made the role his own and actually turned Chad into somebody important. His scenes with Stefano today were excellent. And I think the show is doing a good job with the build-up to the Chabby wedding, especially with that cliffhanger of JJ announcing Ben's escape today.

Kayla was certainly weird today. She's just not reacting to this Steve/Ava/Joey stuff like I expected her to. She's way too calm and level-headed! Lol. I'm wondering where the Johnsons are going to be story-wise after this whole Ava thing blows over. I hope Griffith has something planned for them and that they don't just fall off the face of the earth. I was also thinking today that it would be pretty cool if we got a Steve/Kayla wedding in May with a few surprise return visits to wrap up this 50th thing.

I like that John, Marlena, and Belle showed up halfway through the episode (and in a new Salem day!). One of my favorite things about the Fall was that you truly never knew who was going to pop up in the episode, and I'm not talking about Lani's pointless little scenes at the police station, lol.

Eric and Jennifer were quite enjoyable today, as well. I did laugh though when Jen didn't remember kissing Eric. It reminded me of that awful movie where Rachel McAdams couldn't remember being married to Channing Tatum. In both of these instances, I was like "HOW COULD YOU FORGET?!"

Thank you JCP.

Yeah, so they could use a Peter mask on him to fool people into thinking he was dead.

Okay, aren't AA and NA two different things? Or are their meetings combined? Why would Eric and Jennifer be going to the same meetings?
Some smaller places combine meetings the principles are pretty much the same.

Today's show is much better. This is what happens when Chabby, Jarlena, Stayla, and other good characters are featured, and useless characters like Theresa, Nicole, Brady, Rafe, and Maggie are all in that background.
Nope. I don't consider Brady or Nicole useless. I hate how they are being written right now, but they most certainly are NOT useless.

The only thing good about today IMO was the Eric Brady scenes. He's the only character I care about anymore, but I will never call Nicole or Brady useless. They just need better story.

Great show today!!

I loved Chad and Stefano's scenes, they were amazing! I liked the thunderstorm in the background, it was a nice touch.

Eric was perfect today with Jennifer and Marlena, and he looked great! I don't like how he keeps saying he is beyond getting help. It is never to late to get help, ever.
Jennifer is in total denial, I wonder if something will happen to Thomas to snap her out of it?

I'm glad Joey told Kayla the truth.

If this is Josh Griffith's writing, they should not have let him go.

I think today was one of my favorite Eric days. His hair looked good and not all gelled back. And he was kind of priestly today, which sounds odd, but it reminded me of when he first came on and was trying to help Nicole. He seemed like that today, uninterested in the fact that he may go to prison. Jennifer being a drug addict is what was important. It's why he is my all time favorite character on daytime. And Nicole (as written) is a freaking idiot! I love her, but she's an idiot!

I really enjoyed this episode.

The Chad and Stefano scenes were great and I totally understand Chad's conflicted feelings and his sadness over Stefano's death. Billy was great. The only downside to this was that it reminded me that they do not write conversations like this for Abigail. She went through a very traumatic event and didn't talk about it with anyone (outside of a little with Chad).

Loved all of the Chabby scenes and cuteness together. Chad said something to her that I couldn't quite make out. It was something like "You are as scary great as Stefano is..." Did anyone catch what he said? I'm glad it was clarified today that Abby is living at the mansion (wasn't sure the other day). Jennifer looked less than thrilled about the wedding being at the mansion, lol.

Indulge my tangent here, but I don't get why Jennifer said "oh let me get the schedule out for St. Luke's." She already knew the wedding was coming up so that should have been booked already and secondly if they were going to get married there they would have to go to pre-cana. You have to book well in advance at a Catholic Church. I should stop trying to expect the show to be realistic. :)

I really enjoyed Eric and Jennifer today and how caring Eric is being towards her. I don't ever remember Daniel being like this with her. Also loved him getting Marlena involved and I'm happy we saw Belle tell Marlena about Eric's sentencing. I wish Eric was sticking around.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I'm not okay with it. Steve and Kayla have already taken so much shit from the writing over the last few months. And they're already being cut out of the Stefano story tomorrow. Their story shouldn't be the one impacted.
Oh I don't like that they're not there tomorrow. They belong there over Kate. The cut scenes have impacted everyone though. I wanted to see all the Shawn D that has been cut. The J&M stuff during the accident. It's been across the board.
Except maybe Hope and Rafe. Could do with a bit more cutting of them.

I loved the thunderstorm today. Such a cool effect for dramatic scenes.

Joey is a mess. I hope they don't have him over this really fast. Whether he killed Ava or not, he did think killing her was he best solution.

LOL at Kayla. She was like oh Steve's done worse than killing Ava.

Chad and Stefano were great. I just loved it. I love that they addressed that he never went to jail for his crimes but he's paying in the afterlife.

I hate that Eric is leaving. There's so much they could have done with him.

Part 2 today. The transition was cool but these seemed like two episodes.

The J&M and Belle scene was great. I need more!

Belle seems like a better attorney today.

So every person who knows Roman is lying to him now. It's amazing.

I liked John being there for Steve. This show needs more friends.

Marlena asked John to call her later. I wonder if
Spoiler: click to toggle

All in all today was choppy but I liked almost all of it. Hope it keeps up.

Happy March 1st!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_3JlGofSZg

Happening today:

Joey makes a stunning confession to Kayla.
Steve lies to Roman in order to protect a loved one.
Chad has a vision of Stefano and opens up his heart to his dad.
Eric is taken back when he realizes Jennifer doesn’t remember their kiss.

From the pictures:

Joey and his new girl pal talking on a park bench
Kayla having a serious talk with Joey on a bench at Horton Two Square (mom & son hand in hand)
Jenn looking at Eric in disbelief at her new house (her hospital work office)
Steve being settled into the Salem PD interrogation room by a cop as Roman looks on

DISCUSS!

About the pictures for March 1st, I did not see Joey talking to Jade in the park bench. Neither did I see Kayla talking to his son....
Anyway, today's show was decent....the best part was the ending---------------> JJ tells Chad that Ben Weston escapes prison! You know that would be thrilling to see how Ben comes back into Abby's life!

This bothers me because I didn't find Stefano to be likable in any fashion, and I don't think Chad should have loved him in any fashion. Just my opinion.
Stefano's kids had complicated relationships with him. I get why Chad would care.
I cried during Chad' s scenes with Stefano, and I could not stand Stefano. At all. Billy Flynn nailed these scenes.

This episode was amazing! I loved Chad & Stefano's talk. Belle needs an office. I don't know what to say about Jennifer. It's crazy that she doesn't remember the kiss. {I wouldn't forget GV kissing me. LOL} I am starting to wonder who will ruin the wedding more--Jennifer or Ben. But I am glad that she has a story line. Loved Marlena's reaction to Belle's news about Eric. Just a great day all the way around!
I think that it will be Jennifer more than Ben but Ben will also be a contributing factor.

or Jen could be the one who sees Ben and nobody believes her or even better Jen sees Ben decides she s just seeing things because of the pills and does nothing to stop him / doesn't tell anyone.

Did n' t he shoot Roman (played by Wayne N) and Roman fell off a cliff? I thought Beau & Hope found him lying on the beach - or was that a different time.

Kayla said to Roman "Don't tell Mom". To which Roman agreed. I kinda think Caroline is gonna find out sometime soon....... Don't get that thought process....
Especially since Caroline can still see things with her visions. You think she'll see her grandson murdering Ava in a vision?
