I wish more attention would be given to Jennifer's addiction story. And perhaps they're planting seeds like these scenes that will evolve into an actual story. I don't have confidence in that though. An addiction storyline should be given a lot of attention or it will come off terribly. Remember Carly's little addiction? MarDar did come in and save it at the end, but it was too late. It was absurd. It was nice seeing the DiMera foyer and living room again. Such a great set. Even if I hate the maroon walls that became present from 2008 and on. I really hope Summer is a con artist. Lauren Koslow and Vincent Irizarry definitely have chemistry. These scenes were just really bad. I'm not exactly sure what the point even was. They could've done better to get them in bed. I do hope Kate winds up with Eduardo though in the end. I love Koslow and Martinez together! I like the way the kidnapping was set up. I have to agree with those that said there was no need to see the actual kidnapping. What for? I think the way the show did it, instead, increases the mystery and suspense. Having Gabi come to the designated meeting spot and not see Marlena and Arianna definitely makes it more suspenseful. |

Just wanted to say something about Kate and Deimos.... He rips her shirt and throws her on the bed....she slows him down and she STILL has sex with him....then.....they walk around the HTS with her ripped shirt on like it was perfectly normal. What the hell is wrong with Kate? What the hell are the writers trying to say in this? Found it a tad bit offensive, honestly. A woman can be manhandled like that and then walk around like it's some awesome thing. JMHO.... |

I love that they are showing people & things from John`s own history and not just from the life he has created for himself since coming to Salem. It`s nice to see that he has an actual past and not one that is shared with another man whose identity he was forced to take over. I just hope they let this one stick and never mess with John`s identity again! |

What I like about it is I think he's going to get all the answers he wanted and all that will matter is the life he built with Marlena and the kids He already wrote off his mom (great!) and there's no way his dad is a good guy either. |

It seems totally OTC for a woman like Kate to be walking around in ripped clothing for any reason. |

For me so far what I love is that John has the buddy relationship with most of the men in Salem. He's their friend. With Eduardo though, they've got this brother in arms thing going on. Eduardo is an assassin, full stop. John is letting his out more and more and now that they've taken Marlena and Arianna, there's no stopping this train and he's going to do whatever it takes to rescue them then eliminate the threat. Thus the two of them putting their heads together, so matter of fact about people trying to kill them and hurt their families is truly refreshing. Maybe it's just my clouded memories of Stefano but with him it was always thwart the scheme, protect the family but no real follow through. I get that's because JM was a regular and they certainly didn't want to kill him when he was such a great foil for so many characters, but Petrov, Deimos, and his dad aren't that. In some ways this is more of the blood feud type thing that's only going to end when the bad guys are dead or John is. Maybe I'm just bloodthirsty but I hope that John channels his inner Raymond Reddington and just starts dropping bodies as an honest reminder of who he used to be and still can be to anyone who would attack his family. I would think John being that extreme would also have long reaching consequences as Marlena and his kids see just what he's capable of and how they feel about maybe for the first time truly seeing the violent side of their husband/father. |

I think one way or the other John's dad ends up dead. That final showdown must be John, Marlena and the dad and that's why Marlena is specifically part of the rescue. I only hope if one of them does kill the dad, it's while he's doing something awful and not standing there lol I cannot wait for them to find out that dad is a psychopath Oh and I remember Belle and Marlena reacting as you mentioned above to mercenary John on the plane to Europe. Bo had some great lines while trying to keep John from going full assassin/rambo Edited by Lovejm, Mar 8 2016, 03:19 PM.

I hope they play that beat with Paul. He's never seen John do anything physically violent. Since he's going to be caught I'd love to see John either snap one of the henchmen's necks or shoot and kill them. No hesitation or remorse and now he and Paul are trapped together and Paul's bewildered. Like how did this nice guy who's accepted me and become my dad just cold-bloodly kill someone. It would be an interesting beat to play, at least to me, considering Brady can't be bothered, Eric is drunk somewhere, and Belle can't see anything beyond Claire disliking her and Phillip's dick. |

That's the thing. The kids knows he's capable of this but never really saw it. And they always intentionally had John stop short of killing Stefano. So it would be a big turnaround if he started killing people. I have a feeling this Marlena/Ari and then John rescue has a bunch of surprises that don't get spoiled |

One of the luxuries of soaps is time. The story had/has potential but was rushed. Jen had to become a pill head to facilitate her being in Eric's orbit, who is now an insta-alcoholic. It's just such a waste. |

Just catching up on the past few days of threads now. They've said before the study is upstairs, not on the ground floor. |
