I'm sorry but I need to ask this: is Ava a fucking 12-year old? I used to have a crush on Chad Kroeger from Nickelback and I NEVER thought about a shrine.
I`m almostafraid to say this but I was crazy about Shaun Cassidy when I was about 10. I even had pictures of him from teen mags on my walls.

It NEVER looked like the Steve Shrine Ava had though.
You weren't the only one. My mom even bought me a pink satin baseball jacket to wear to his concert because I was so enthralled with Shaun Cassidy.
Thank God I`m not alone!

We didn`t have a whole lot of money so when Mom & Dad got tickets for us to go to the concert i was SO surprised and overjoyed.

I even got a shirt!

ETA I did NOT build a damn shrine though!

KM is doing a good job of playing freaked out and I like how she is playing it in every scene (like looking out the door when Jennifer came in).

I like Jennifer being honest and her & Abby having this discussion, but now is not the right time and Abby asked her to drop it like 3 times. Still I enjoyed that scene.

I have to say it's beyond annoying that Abby and Chad disappear for half the show. Their wedding is Friday and they are not spoiled to be on the next two days (If they are, I'll be pleasantly surprised). With everything happening Friday, I feel like it's going to be too short. It just sucks. :( I wanted some build-up before the wedding, like a bridal shower or something.

Today's show was really good. Unlike yesterday, it didn't feel like there was too much going on, just some good stories. Really enjoyed Eduardo, particularly his conversation with Rafe and the last scene with the gun. John was great too, especially with Deimos.

Loved Chad trying to comfort Abby. For some reason, I love them more when there is something threatening them.

The Steve and Kayla scenes were really good. I loved their conversation at home with Kayla trying to ask the question she doesn't want to ask. I've always felt that the big internal conflict for them - particularly after they got married - was whether Steve would really be satisfied with domestic life. That is, whether the two of them really wanted the same things. Even though the implication in Kayla's questions was sexual, I do believe it goes deeper than that. It's that doubt (fed by Steve's own actions, like leaving them in Africa) that a nice, "boring" life with Kayla isn't really what Steve wants. And Steve's response to that was perfect. Falling in love, allowing himself to be loved, and allowing himself to believe in a "normal" life was always the scariest thing for Steve Johnson. I hate where they went with the Ava storyline, but using it to touch on some of those deeper issues is at least a better way to use it.

And the scenes at the psycho shrine were so well done. Very chilling.

I hope this new momentum continues, but since I think Bummer is back tomorrow, I'm not sure it can.

I don't blame Rafe for being pissed at Eddie.

I feel so bad for Gabi. :'(

I wonder if Ben could be in the house watching Chad and Abby? I think KM is doing a great job.

I honestly don't remember ever loving and truly enjoying Days as a full show more than I do right now, under Griffith's writing.. I began watching when the serial killer story / 2004 was airing where I live, and it was pretty much only thanks to Deidre Hall's presence then.

Now Days is full of characters I love and care about. To my surprise I've even become to enjoy the castings after TomSell's Days (the teens, Ed, Deimos). The stories keep you on the edge of your seat, the show looks good production-wise, and the list goes on and on. Sure it's not perfect, there's a certain lack of romance (romance is now more in dialogue than in one thing leading to another) and there are serious pacing issues in stories.. But man. Days is on fire right now. I might need to cry a little when it goes back to being Higley-show. Or a lot.

I thought today's episode was very good. The John and Eduardo story and the impending danger has my interest. Jennifer is just in la la land. Abigail being scared is a great touch. Wonder when we will actually see Ben. I don't really understand why Chad acts so calm and thinks he can protect Abigail from Ben. I think Chad forgot that Ben beat him to a bloody pulp. But maybe this time Chad will get the best of him--who knows. But a great episode it was indeed.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's also a bit ridiculous that Gabi and Rafe haven't really talked about this upcoming wedding that they're supposed to be in either. I will say, though, that they've showed more planning (Abby trying on her dress, talking about food, etc.) than I thought they might.

It's still rushed, however, and now I almost (not really, but...) wish they would have eloped or something since so many are going to be missing from this wedding. Something really intimate and sweet could have been good -- especially since they don't have the budget for big weddings anymore.

I realize it's their life right now, but if I were Steve, I'd talk about Ava to people when I'm not in the same room as Kayla.

I don't really get why Kayla thinks a blood test won't prove Ava was faking leukemia.

I don't really understand why Chad is being such an idiot either.

I'm so happy that Days finally seems to have created two successful new characters in Eduardo and Deimos played by two of Daytime's best actors. So often, the show brings on big names and the characters just fall flat..But these two have so much potential and have been very well received so far...

You know, John...if ever there were a time to call someone while on your way over, this was it.

I feel like Chad is putting on a brave face for Abby`s sake.

I`m sure he isn`t as calm as he seems.

Chad will do whatever it takes to keep Abby safe...including leaving her and the baby alone in a mansion with secret passages.
