It just seems like they're intentionally trying to use him seeing her in the dress twice as a sign.

I think it's nonsense too (my husband saw me in my dress and we ended up fine) but I think they think it's symbolic of whatever trouble is ahead
I think they are using it as part of Chad's charm so to speak. That he doesn't believe in that stuff. I don't think everything is a sign. We already know Ben is out there.
It's such a ridiculously well-known tradition though that IMO they're definitely using it as a storytelling device here, not a randomly endearing character trait. That particular superstition may be silly to a lot of us, and Chad not buying into it may up his charm as a side effect for some, but that's why they're doing it.

Imagine my surprise when I looked at my Facebook feed today and one of my friends liked a pic of someone I don't know wearing what appears to be the exact same dress as Abby's wedding dress, only in red. She wore it to her daughter's wedding.

It's a very short 30 second clip.

Abby is in Thomas's nursery showing him her dress. Says it's her big day and asks if he thinks daddy will like her dress.

Daddy strolls into the room, he's awed by Abby in her dress. Abby is annoyed, but she winds up smiling at Chad's reaction. He says he doesn't believe superstitions, life is what you make it, their life will be awesome.

It's very cute. :wub2:

I love the nursery! Great clip.
It looks like the John Lennon print that was popular when my girls were born 15 years ago.

And they showed a crib bumper, which as I understand it, is now taboo. Plus, all those stuffies in the crib are a no-no too. Both are considered SIDS risks They should have asked the babies' mom how to properly dress a nursery set since we haven't seen one in so long.

I totally agree about the stuffed animals and toys in the crib. My daughter just had my first grandchild 6 months ago. She has SO many rules about things like that. Things we did back in the day are totally against the rules now. I was just excited to see a nursery. LOL

Yes, the toy thing was something we did when my girls were little but the bumper thing is since then.

I can't remember the last time Days had a nursery. Of course, I haven't been paying attention to Thrady so I may have missed one for Tate. I don't think Sydney had one...they always just put the playpen in the living room.

I have a feeling we may have some Chad & Thomas scenes in that room after Abby leaves, remembering back to this scene. It seems odd they would dress a whole room like that if it weren't going to used for a while.

I think I remember them having a nursery for JJ at Jack & Jen's old house. Didn't they show Tate in a nursery a little whole ago with that whole situation when Theresa was setting up the nanny?

I hope Chad, Abby, and Thomas have more scenes here before Abby leaves and hopefully if she comes back in a form of a recast.

It's funny though that this nursery sort of reminds me of the one they had for baby John Ross and Christopher on the original Dallas at the Southfork Ranch.

Adorable, this is life to me. I seriously never thought they'd give us a Chabby wedding, so I'm enjoying every cute moment I can get.

I don't like the wedding dress. I like the elaborate, beaded, lacy styles. Abby's dress just looks like a formal dress.

That's not KM's style.
