I wish Joey and Claire weren't related, they make a cute couple.

I would put this on Jason's thread maybe? I dunno. I know that ABC is officially covering the funeral and GH is officially preempted. But the funeral is at 2pm Eastern, after Days is over.
However the link you quoted is from Kansas which is in Central time. It seems that Days would be preempted in Central time only. I don't know what that means for the rest of the country.
The question is ... will that affect DOOL nationally? Or will they just say it's on POP and nbc.com and not preempt?

I like that John is just quiet. He's too mad to have a conversation.
Someone said that on Twitter that he was just seething and couldn't even get into it with Eduardo and Rafe.
Wow that's awesome!!!! I'm glad John has no lines too!!!!! I'd rather just see him seething mad the whole time. Good thing Eduardo and Rafe aren't as mad as John tho, cuz then no one would be talking! 😱 I don't know who is writing this stuff but they are nailing it!!! :roflol:
I guess Ed and Rafe don't love Arianna as much as John loves her and Marlena. That's unfortunate.

On the other hand, then they should also preempt Canada (and maybe Australia on Monday). Otherwise people will watch it on the Internet and it would be bad for the ratings.

UPDATE: I just checked. So far, Digest's website and SON's website are saying it's only GH that is preempted.

First episode in a while that didn't have me going "meh" over half of the time.
I thought VJ has been under-whelming for most of this fast-paced rape story but I thought she was really good today sans that one scene with Hope where [Ciara] was doing the loud crying speaking. I absolutely love when Ciara does the "you're evil like your dad" thing to Chase for some reason. It's cruel but completely understandable, after the murder attempt and after the rape. Kudos to DAYS for finally showing some restraint and not replaying that rape scene for an entire episode. Hopefully that trend continues because I don't want to see that rape scene ever again. Chase unable to look at Ciara or Hope was a nice touch. KA played the sadness (Ciara)/disappointment-betrayal (Chase) really well. Well written, as well as well directed scenes all around.
I know this rape story is going to have a second leg so to speak, but they really half-a$$ed the initial part of this. From the set-up to today (i.e. the "build up" to Chase doing something like that, aging them to 18 to make things less complex, skipping the medical testing, etc.). It's like they couldn't take enough shortcuts and get through this fast enough to get to leg two of the dark drama. Ridiculous pacing. Daytime dramas have the privilege of being able to show all these more private but important beats. It's a shame to gloss over it.
For the first time, I actually felt the pairing of Theo and Ciara. I did a *sigh* to him sitting outside the house. Precious. I initially was not getting why Ciara was okay with Theo touching her but it makes sense. He's male but they've been best friends since they were tiny.
The John & Eduardo stuff is making me laugh. The warehouse usage made me laugh, I was all "oh, how polite, they waited for Chase, Ciara & Hope to leave to turn on the lights and get down to their business". Eduardo and that hat? Sigh. The drinks? LOL. I'm down with laughing. I'm not complaining. DAYS could use some comedy, intentional or unintentional.
The guy who played the father of Philip's dead booty-call did a good job. Oh, speaking of Philip's gang ... I actually did not hate Belle on yesterday's episode. She's doing Shawn wrong and she's got the libido of her father BUT it's clear she feels Shawn was treating her like trash and that's why she's "over it." BB/MM do have a nice chemistry.

Teens having coffee. Said its been too long and go to find Ciara
Joey, Theo, and Claire went and had coffee while leaving Ciara to do/say whatever to Chase? I'm glad Chase is strongly tied up. But ... went out for coffee? Maybe it's more like "let's sit here nervously waiting" and not "let's enjoy some java" Claire must've really enjoyed her coffee, she made sure to pick up those two (obviously empty) coffee cups before heading back to vigilante central.

Are we going to see Hope's house anymore? They probably won't bring it back. It's not like Hope's family is ever in Jenn's family's way.

They could have had basically the same people for Abby that they did for Hope sans Caroline and add in Gabi. They had stories going on in the fall too. The wedding is actually later than it was supposed to be (February). If they actually had it in February they might have had more time then for these things. So it's not that the wedding is so sudden and soon IMO.
Also talking about appropriateness, they were basically celebrating at that party in the Fall the day after Will died.
But since's Hope's shindig...
Jennifer has become a drug addict Hope has had her husband try to murder her, had two husbands die and murdered a man in a wheelchair (for something she now knows he may not have done) Ciara has lost her father and been raped Kayla has been kidnapped, framed for attempted murder, her husband has been raped and her son murdered a woman in a hospital bed Maggie has lost her son who was the second coming of a holy entity it appears Abigail has learned her boyfriend is a serial killer and he's attempted to kill her, kill the man she loves and steal her baby
Unless they were all high, nobody would have been in the mood except for Gabi. And Julie.

Bad shit happens to people and they still continue to take an hour or two to have some fun. Unless you're depressed, most don't sit and cry on a pillow 24/7. Most of the people you've mentioned have gone on about their daily lives on this show.

Sometimes I think these choices are about trying not to be redundant (i.e., Daniel gets a memorial at Horton Town Square because no one else did in the previous dozen deaths), so maybe someone thinks two bachelorette parties in a few months would be too much. But I totally agree that characters can go to parties when they have other things going on. It's a really good opportunity to mix up storylines and let them talk with different people.

Almost like a plague came over Salem, lol. And, uhm, not really on the moving on part. Most of them are sad or in a bad mood most of the time. It was just bad timing. That said, nothing is impossible on a soap. They could have had some of the ladies accidentally run into each other at a bar for half an episode and an impromptu party where they all get plastered.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
There is not much use in continuing to talk about this, but stuff is always happening to people on soaps. Bad shit happens to people and they still continue to take an hour or two to have some fun. But I totally agree that characters can go to parties when they have other things going on. It's a really good opportunity to mix up storylines and let them talk with different people. I agree, I think they were probably trying not to be redundant. I just think the first-time bride should have been the one with a bachelorette party, but hindsight is 50/50 and they probably hadn't even thought about Chabby's wedding yet when they wrote Hope and Aiden's.
That said, I could easily overlook no bachelorette party, etc, if they were not skipping the wedding in the episode on Monday.

I get why it didn't happen completely (due to the gloom and doom) but I totally feel you. This is a popular couple, a first wedding, a Horton woman, etc. It would have been nice and a nice break from the gloom.
I was like "the show is skipping the wedding?" You meant the guest list.

What I meant is that the wedding is being featured tomorrow and on Tuesday. It's not featured in Monday's episode so there is going to an episode in between breaking up the action.
