Re: Thrady and Summer and the pacing stuff...
Sometimes, I wonder: has anyone, lately, on the writing or production staff been looking at fan feedback? Like, look at the message boards or the tweets or whatever? I know it's hard with their schedule, and I'm not saying that all fan feedback is valid or doable or even right. BUT. Days has been terrible at maintaining rootable, popular characters, storylines and couplings.
The thing is not all fans are online or on message boards or tweet. What's hated at one place could be liked somewhere else.
Fair enough. Though, I think you can build a general consensus of whether a storyline, character or couple is popular if you look at the online chatter from a variety of sources. If the response is overwhelmingly negative from a variety of sources, I think you might be able to infer that something isn't working for a decent segment of your fanbase. A lot of fans hide on private message boards and closed or secret FB pages.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Marlena doesn't know Brady's been running around with summer though. And I think it's cautious of her to want to protect Brady. Ironically, that's what mothers do. Imagine how awful it would be for her and John if she told Brady and something happened?
the problem is eventually he will find out and if something happen to his dad he would be more upset. Then of course, there's granddad, they're working on a limited amount of people calling Brady could get Victor's guys involved and it would cut down the search time. And of course not calling the kids, helps her not to realize that one of his children is missing. And I wasn't serious about it being HER choice, it's not maybe Belle, but all the children are grown they have the right to know. I don't mind her not telling him for his own benefit. It could even lead to a nice moment once he finds out why she didn't want him to know and be upset.
That's assuming he finds out anytime soon anyway. He hasn't seen them since January.

So Roman doesn't believe him, and I suppose Justin wouldn't either.
It is funny, if they do try to go on the run, I hope Steve and Kayla tell Joey about the two times they were on the run. I liked the time they were they were in the plane crash and Steve had to apologize to the Girl Scouts of America before Kayla would let him in out of the rain. lol.

I think Ken thinks this is the last renewal. He doesn't care whether anyone likes his writers or not. That is why Dena will be there till cancellation. He also doesn't care whether anyone likes the stories. ugh.
He thinks he has already given the fans what he thinks they deserve, and that was the 50 th celebration, which I thought was a bust. JMO.
With Corday I think it's all about controlling the fans not pleasing them.
I think, it's about ratings. They only care about these numbers because they mean renewal or cancellation. They don't care why people watch and whether they like the show or not. They should care if the viewers like the show or not. It might not affect the ratings immediately because a lot of people will keep watching for a while even if they don't like the stories. But eventually, they will tune out. And then the show will need to do something big to lure them back.

But eventually, they will tune out. And then the show will need to do something big to lure them back. Yeah, they should. But it's very difficult for them to know what the viewers want. Social media is not representative enough. When the numbers go down they know they did something wrong and I'm pretty sure that even then in most cases they can't identify what was it that caused the drop.
And sometimes part of the audience being unhappy with the s/l doesn't mean the audience looses interest in the show, especially, if it's controversial and creates some buzz (eg. the Ejabby affair)

[twitter=jmcrenny/status/710209778216275968] ^ I'm pretty sure these are from voldy - the 'what will happen' red box in the back. (Undated line-item daily spoilers)
Rafe makes a startling discovery. -- we already had this one for Tuesday. ("Rafe makes a startling discovery in Yo Ling's labyrinth.")
Chad comes up with a mysterious plan. -- we already had this one for Wednesday. ("Chad comes up with a mysterious plan to help trap Ben.")
This one is *NEW* ... Deimos offers an olive branch to Victor. It must belong to either Wednesday or Thursday.
Now there is only one spoiler left to reveal.
