I was hoping Steve and Kayla WOULD be at the wedding because Steve's Abby's uncle, and because Kayla has been there for Abby, lending an ear and support lots of times. It would have made sense to have them there, and the awkwardness between Steve and Kayla could have been really obvious in that setting, even if they tried to mask it. |

#1. Yo Ling has advanced stage TopITs disease. #2. He has another serious disorder (he coughed a lot and seemed to have trouble walking. #3. He has a serious blood disease where he requires a blood transfusion. I do not know how old he is but I would imagine he is close to 80 years old. How many more years Will he live if he gets the blood transfusion with all these other health issues going on? |

I do not think Yo Ling is interested in "being John's dad" - he just wants his blood so he can be cured of this blood disease and also get his hands on the serum. |

Oh he could care less about John. He made it clear life means nothing to him. But I think there may be a bigger plan behind why he wants to life. His last like to John today was about dying for a sacred cause |

John's early years really sucked, and now he meets his dear old bio dad and finds out he's a vampire...... I hope Drake had an ear plug, cuz that bucket of water went right in his ear. Those Ari twins certainly have experienced a lot in their short years. Funerals and people hooked to machines in hospitals. At least A gave her a ring to play with.... Dumbass Joey, I love ya cuz your Steve's and Kayla's kid, but you don't even know Jade.... She's a goofy stoner teenager FFS! Ok episode. |

Darn it, I want some romance! I just feel like this show is way dark and I want more than that. Edited by talbab1994, Mar 14 2016, 10:06 PM.

These writers are really bad at family interaction. God forbid Steve and Kayla be at Abby's Wedding. For that matter, God forbid this Winterthorne stuff wait a day so that we could actually have guests at the damn thing. DOUG? Seriously? What a wasted opportunity to not have Abby ask Steve. If not Steve, then JJ. Not JJ in Uniform coming from work, but JJ in a suit like he actually planned on being there. Lord forbid that Steve and Adrienne have any meaningful dialogue or that Joey interact with relatives not named Mom, Dad, or Ciara. Heaven forbid Steve or Adrienne notice their brother's widow(ish) is having trouble. Only Eric is allowed to do that because...plot. Would it have killed them at least to have Steve and JJ run into each other at the hospital? A comment on Jack's son being a cop could have been gold. Still making Justin an ass I see. Speaking of family, does he know "Uncle" Deimos is in town? They are roughly the same age. Surely there is history there. New villian's nephew is the DA. Nah not interesting at all. :p Lol Belle is a joke. And since when do we not pick up a wedding Friday cliffhanger on Monday???????? Edited by jewlmc, Mar 14 2016, 10:29 PM.

We are, and I wonder if it's already aired. I was just looking at MBE's Instagram, and I wonder if we're going to be getting some Hope/Kayla scenes soon too. She posted a photo of her and KA rehearsing around the time that they seemed to be taping the current scenes. Maybe they discuss the John situation and Steve helping? |

His whole story about the United States of Aggression is his cause. He hates America for what he believes is their aggression in starting the war in Korea where millions of innocent people died. It's also where he came close to death, may have been captured/tortured/escaped and made his way to China. Thus he started his Phantom Alliance to destroy America. That's his sole purpose and whatever he has planned he needs more time. The impression I got was that he's been working decades towards this end and needs to hang on just a few years longer to set in motion whatever his overarching plan is to destroy America. That's the whole point here. In his head America invaded the north in a war of aggression by MacArthur and Marshall. They, not the Democratic People's Republic with the backing of Russia, either started the war or enticed the North to start shelling and invade the south. That's where Tim R. broke from reality and every thought from Yo Ling from that moment on was polluted by this idea of America is evil and he has to destroy it with his Alliance. It's a delusion, but it's real to him and his followers. So anything you would read or be taught about that conflict is a lie by America not North Korea/Russia/China. His delusion is so pervasive that it's dominated his thoughts and changed his entire life. So as far as he's concerned his life is the greater good and anything he has to do to stay alive and play out his end game is the acceptable. John is his means to an end. "Too bad son, so sorry you may die giving me the transfusion I need to hang on till I can synthesize the cure I need for my disease but I've got my evil plan and I have to see it through." Hurting you, your wife, your son, and your great grandchild, eh whatever; collateral damage. In other words, evil. I just rewatched those scenes between Tobin and Drake and I really can't give both men enough credit. They were extraordinarily done and the dialogue writer should also take a bow. I can totally see why Tobin Bell tweeted his praise for the production crew for their efforts. Educate vs Indoctrinate scene was emmy worthy for both men. I give the writers credit. It's outlandish but that's what delusions are. He broke from reality and his moral compass died with it. So evil, sure who cares because I am on a mission and whatever is necessary to achieve my goals is not just acceptable but in fact a good thing. That kind of psychosis unchecked is limitless and Tobin Bell played it to the hilt. Edited by moniker11, Mar 14 2016, 11:05 PM.

I'm wondering if he dies with his plan set in motion though. That could cause a lot of problems. Maybe he's behind the CDC outbreak in May. Good way to destroy things |

I don't have much to say about this episode, except I didn't enjoy it. I'm happy for those who are enjoying the John story with his father, but it's just not my cup of tea. |

I was wrong about John calling Arianna "the little girl" and not mentioning she is his granddaughter on Friday's show. I excused it because I thought maybe it was just a way that John would describe her, and it wasn't just the show making John deliberately exclude her from being related to him again. But today he said she was Marlena's granddaughter. He could have said "our granddaughter", but he made a point of saying she was only Marlena's. That's in the script. That's this show's obsession with blood relations. I'm so sick of it. I wish the actors felt they could object to this, but I don't think they bother because it's not worth the risk of pissing off a producer/and or a writer. |

Seems weird Steve and Kayla aren't at Abby's wedding. These scenes with John and his dad are very good so far. |
