Why is it Yo Ling come back to John's life when he trained him to kill people and now he wants his blood and to be his dad? He sure creepy dad that he doesn't deserve to have a son like John Black.

John's dad talking about US and North Korea. I think he is a communist.
Not sure it's real communism, though he does say he didn't profit from Murder, Inc., but he's stridently anti-American with a significant Chinese influence, puts him in the same realm as communism. Regardless of the specifics Yo Ling is crazy and flat out evil.

Tom Clancy these writers aren't. Yet another contrived & badly written story for John and Daddy Dearest.

I was glad they had Marlena on this episode, but I thought it odd that she seemed less upset about John than Kayla, LOL

Why wouldn't she call and tell Belle? Like immediately? So, the Salem police has no info about this Phantom agency? The ISA has no info? FBI? None of them have ever heard of it? Rafe has nothing? Only Eduardo? And if Rafe wants to find out about Winterthorne and is asking Marlena to tell him what she knows, why don't they go look on John's computer? Rafe seemed more concerned about how Ed saved his life than trying to find John. He seemed so relaxed hanging out at the hospital, LOL GG is such a bad actor. He has no clue how to emote the correct emotions.

I wish Steve and Kayla would get Joey to a psychiatrist. Their kid has a hard time dealing with crisis; he needs help asap. Instead they are letting him go on about his life like nothing happened. He killed someone!

I bet Yo Ling was best buds with this...

Thank you JCP.

I thought Kayla said something the other day about getting therapy for Joey. I guess I must have imagined it.

Steve tells Kayla not to worry and Joey said to her if you don't forgive dad it looks like Ava won. She hugs him said your dad said not to worry.

Joey. Quit.
That's what I think, too.

Joey should not be pressuring Kayla to forgive Steve. She needs to do it in her own time, if she can. Not because it's what Joey wants her to do.

Lay off, Joey!

Your parents' relationship is THEIR relationship, and this is not for you to decide.

I can't believe they left Chad and Abby's wedding in limbo. Seriously ... they end on it on Friday and Monday comes along and the only mention of the wedding is made by Gabi when she realises JJ should be at his sister's wedding. And speaking of who should be at the wedding ... why aren't Steve and Kayla there ... Abigail is their niece, I'm sure she would have invited them. Instead Kayla's at work and Steve is meeting with his lawyer ... doesn't make any sense to me.

LOL I loved how Kayla ranted to Steve about Justin ... that was a much needed moment of levity.

Boy when it came to parents John sure got the dregs, didn't he. Here he thought his mother was horrible for abandoning him now he finds out his father is totally insane and responsible for wiping his memory, turning him into an assassin, killing Bo and now he expects John to be happy that he's going to die for such a noble cause as saving him. I thought Ava was insane but Yo Ling is beyond insane ... talk about delusions of grandeur! I thought the dialogue was good (when I could hear and / or understand what was being said). It gave a lot of backstory for both Tim Robichaud and John.

Sweet moment when little Ari was playing with Ed's ring and then put it back on Ed's finger.

I like that Rafe acknowledged and thanked his father for saving his life. Like that little joke Ed made to deflect praise away from himself.

Joe has confessed to Jade. I didn't get the impression that one spoiler gave or Copyright Violation/Post will be removed that Jade would be excited by the confession. Unless there's more to come ... I think what she said to him was pretty spot on. I liked when she told Joe that his Dad was doing what he thought best. Joe has that young person's naivety still about him ... he thinks that he's a minor so they wouldn't be so hard on him. It's likely they'd charge him as an adult anyway.

Yeah, too bad they're not friends with a psychiatrist or anything... ;)

I loved today's episode. I am glad that we are getting an ending to John's search for his past. I really like that we are getting this warehouse or wherever Yo Ling is keeping John. It's much better to see other places than just the Square. I found today's episode exciting. I belong to another group where all I see is people hated it. It was a story line that needed to be played out finally and I think Days did a great job casting Tobin Bell as John's dad.

I can't speak for the rest of your questions but this one was answered. Rafe called Shane to find out what information the ISA has on this group. I'm assuming either Shane is looking into it and will get back to Rafe, probably Wednesday, or he left a message and is waiting to hear back. Either way the SPD not knowing anything about an international assassin agency isn't a surprise, the rest we'll hopefully find out.

Thank you JCP.

This story reminds me of Senator John McCain's senate hearings years ago about his belief that U.S. POW'S and MIA'S were still alive and were being held prisoners in underground tunnels in North Korea. He said they were being used as slave labor.

I hated they made John Black not knowing who he was after all those years instead of focusing on his life like Marlena ,especially with Brady losing his stupid mind over Dr Tan's heart. I would love to see Jarlena have Brady, Tate , Belle and Eric at thier house and be a family that I love to see not a random creepy old man to claim he's John's father or have Paul to be his son. Don't get me wrong I love Paul, but I don't like him to be John's son because there is no history to feel between them.

They really wrapped it all up quite nicely & clearly did some research on other versions of John's past. I need this one to stick though - anyone that wants to re-write it after this will have to undo about the neatest & most "logical" explanation of his backstory that I've seen.

I was stunned they called Shane. So far I like there's a bunch of people involved and they didn't have Marlena sitting in the square having coffee oblivious to what was happening

Ok, let me get this straight... Yo Ling thinks his organization is some grand altruistic venture to save humanity without wanting to make a penny or something but he sold John to Stefano who used him to steal artwork and other goodies human kind covets for it's monetary value? OK then. :drunk:

Tobin and Drake were totally awesome today. The really cast a perfect guy to be creepy, insane, violent dad. Jigsaw is fantastic.

I know a lot of people are upset with Justin but ignore him for a minute and look at the law. Ava was a loon, no question. Still she was in a hospital bed and at the exact moment of her murder no threat to anyone. In the eyes of the law what Joey/Steve did is premeditated murder. It's pretty black and white. It's Belle's job to argue extenuating circumstances, the threat she posed to Kayla but for Justin as the DA he's got to follow the law and prosecute Steve.

Steve I adore you. Taking the fall for your son and then putting yourself further out there to do whatever is necessary to rescue your friend and partner John. I also really love that Kayla is upset John's missing. In my little world they're still bother and sister and I appreciate her worry and concern.

Joey you're an idiot. Of course it's a good idea to confess to murder to a girl you barely know.

Marlena looks like she's barely holding it together as the proof that no one knows where John is begins to sink in. Oh man when she gets a target to vent all that anger, fear, worry on, watch out.

I didn't even mind the Hernandez clan. Really a great episode. Can't wait to see how the rest of this John story plays out.

Thanks, I tend to sometimes tune out Rafe and his monotone blandness when he's talking.
