She's likely to have been disappointed that Chad and Abby's wedding didn't continue. They're her favorites, and she didn't like the postponement for their big day. It's kind of odd the show didn't continue with it Monday, actually. It's not good for a soap to stop in the middle of a wedding.

For Chabby fans, probably no storyline would have made up for Chad and Abby's absence on a day that should feature their wedding.

Kayla's my favorite. She got attacked and then kidnapped one day and then wasn't shown for over a week. I remember thinking that kind of time lag was stupid.
Yeah, I was definitely disappointed they interrupted the flow of the wedding. The whole pacing is driving me insane. Wedding starts Friday, doesn't pick up until Tuesday, and now we don't see Chad & Abby on the honeymoon until Thursday. Can I get 2 consecutive days here at least? LOL. So yeah my disappointment colored some of my view on yesterday's episode.

I like John and Marlena, but Yo Ling isn't entertaining me much so far. He's definitely creepy and scary, I'll give him that. I can't wait until Steve and Kayla are done with this Ava story so they (more so Kayla) can interact with other people.
I don't consider the Yo Ling Thing to be a John and Marlena story at all.

MR really doesn't know how to play the drug addict. I like her, but she's just not selling the "Jennifer on drugs" angle at all. I would much rather watch Jennifer and Eric on drugs and alcohol than any of the other crap. But they aren't really telling that story. Fuck 'em!

Why do these writers have such a hard-on for Dan? I. do. not. understand. I mean, I thought a lot of it was Dena, but she's gone, and the worship still continues.

I'm also just feeling a big disconnect with all of these stories. The bubbles have gotten somewhat better, but the stories still feel isolated. I think that's what bugs me most about the wedding. A Horton and DiMera are getting married, but only eight to ten people in town seem to care. It's just weird.
Maybe it's the breakdown writers who love Daniel because this love outlived several writing regimes.

MR didn't play it up much today, but it was her daughter's wedding. Jennifer is going to make sure she doesn't make a scene. I think she has been good recently with the drug angle. I agree it's very disappointing how little of this story we're seeing. I want to watch Jennifer/Eric, not Bummer & Maggie.

SO...does anyone have any thoughts on why they extended GV's contract to have him on every other week? If they don't want to tell that story, why extend him? He could easily have been written out within the time period of his contract. It just doesn't make sense to me and it's just making some of us (I'm actually not the only one) really pissed off at DAYS to see him once every couple of weeks. It just seems like they WANT to piss off his fans. I'm sure that isn't really their intent, but I just don't get it.

The Ludrienne scenes were cut? :soapbox:
I don't get it. Why can't they cut Summer and Maggie? I didn't hear anything about Lucas and Adrienne talking to Chad and Abby after the ceremony either.
I feel like they were going to have Lucas and Adrienne start a serious relationship but then they decided to axe the storyline and reunite Adrienne with Justin. I don't know. So then they cut all the Lucas/Adrienne/Justin stuff because it wasn't going anywhere.

My worry is that there were problems BTS with Bryan Dattilo, that he was frustrated that they didn't give him any airtime when Will's death could have been the biggest Lucas story in years and that when he complained, they wrote even less for him and started cutting his scenes, stopped writing his name in the credits. I might be paranoid because I'm a fan but it feels like they really have something against him.

:'(
I agree that Lucas/Adrienne/Justin story was axed.

But I don't have the feeling it was personal.

Summer: "I'm sorry I freaked out in our first interview. That's not me." Really? The first time I saw you, you were attempting to drown yourself in the Pacific Ocean. :blulaugh:

"I think I ruined everything!" That Summer is a real cockblocker.....

Spiked coffee and pills! Partay!! :blulaugh:

So Ben left the Midwest headed for Mexico via Lousiana? LOL I was hoping to see the nut today.
So that was the lie Chad and J.J. told Abby - about Ben spotted in Louisiana headed for Mexico. I wonder if she sees him in Chicago during the honeymoon too? Poor Abby is going to go BSC and nobody will believe her.

I wonder if this Summer story was a last minute filler story when maybe both GV and JE were let go and they didn't want to spend any more time giving them exposure - or whether they just jumped at the chance to grab Marie Wilson.... It's perplexing and annoying either way.

Maybe it's all budget related... who knows....it just doesn't make sense to me.

Loved the readings. Loved the vows. The acting was so perfect, especially KM. She really shined today from start to end.

Didn't care one bit for the rest of this episode. Brady is getting engaged once again? Can't take it seriously. Maggie should have been at the wedding, not with that nuisance Summer.

Yep, they're the ones that write all the gross dialogue about him.

Script writers write the actual dialogue but they get outlines from the breakdown writers. Maybe all of them liked the character or SC? LOL

"All I want in this world is to be the woman you see in me, your Abby. . . Chad DiMera you are my hero, you are my soulmate, you are my bestfriend and you are my true love."

"Now, I could never say it as well as your father did, but I will spend my life honoring that, honoring you and loving you with everything I have in me."

That was the first episode in a long time that I would actually call good. I even liked the Summer/Maggie scenes.

Every scene that didn't happen at the wedding was awful today. I thought the ceremony was great but the reception wasn't enough.

Really loved Julie's reading from Jack's book. And I loved Chad's vows about her giving him a family with Thomas.

Abby's slow descent into paranoia over Ben is really well done.

I'm sure it drips down from the top. But those script writers give life to it all and their Daniel love seems to know no bounds.

Since there seems to be a misconception that I think Griffith is the greatest writer whoever did write, I like to point out when this isn't true. Griffith is actually pretty terrible at one of my favorite parts of soaps. Family. Dena is actually better at it, and there's reason to believe Quan might be too. I'm not looking forward to their stories but maybe we'll get some better family scenes out of them. This week has made it even more obvious that it's a problem.

Oh, and Day Two of the pub set's return! I don't mean this in a superfan way, but I wonder if we don't see Steve and Kayla's house for a while because of that. Maybe it will help break them out of their bubble if we don't.
