Am I supposed to still care about Deimos?? Is he still a villain?? When he first came on I really liked him but now they're taking him away from the Winterthorne/Bo's kidnapping and developing a boring feud between him and Victor over some woman we don't care about. :yawnz: We?

Yo Ling shuffling in monologuing and shuffling out is getting old. Pare it down and let's get on with the story. I also think John is too smart to be fighting so hard to get free of the handcuffs or chains the way he is. We aren't talking duct tape here or something else that he can rip out of. It seemed a silly action with his professional knowledge.
Had to snicker at Marlena, Steve, Rafe and Hope arguing as they planned their search while Eduardo is laying in bed supposedly needing rest to recover from his bullet wound! WTH. I did love Marlena firmly stating she's going on the rescue mission and Steve and Rafe's responses. Cute. I also thought it sweet that Rafe told Hope to stay and look after Ciara.
Kate and Deimos kissing is just not appealing. It's not. I don't understand the fascination someone has with the character Kate that they think we need to see her taking off her clothes and making out. It's not necessary and it's not fun. I thought the dialogue poorly written with Deimos saying how much she means to him. She barely has spent any time with the guy. It was also creepy to see her snogging Deimos so carefree in the apt where Will's murderer lived. The whole scene felt gross. If they want passionate romance on this show pick another couple to try and showcase it with.
Bummer/Summer goes on unfortunately. The only smidge of interest for me was the info that Dario has been pulling cons since he left Salem. Gives him a shade.
Who the hell thinks we need to see Nicole and Maggie crying again?!! Just stop!
I'm glad they included Rafe mentioning he knew about what happened to Ciara to Hope. I'm sorry there wasn't enough time to have a more heartfelt conversation about it, but I'm glad it was addressed. I also really liked how Rafe called Eduardo dad. I can see how these events have changed Rafe's perspective. I also like that he's still grappling with the idea of letting this man in. Good scenes.
I thought Brady's proposal very sweet. Both of them did a great job with those scenes and I laughed when she tackled him to the floor. It was nice to have a fun, romantic segment in the show. I sure wish we had more lighter, couple moments written in. I feel as though Days really are in need of them.
And there's Paul! This is the best story right now along with crazy Ben on the loose because I want to watch to see what happens next. I'm excited about the players involved in both stories. Whereas with Summer, I don't care what happens and actually feel bummed she's taking away time from more interesting plots.

The only thing Thrady are perfect for each others is, sex and drugs. They don't have a chemistry or story . They're awful together.
I wish Isabella would comes back from dead and get Brady away from two losers annoying people like Theresa and Maggie,so he can spend his free time with his loving father John Black and to appreciate Marlena for all those years raising him as the best second mother instead of being moron and pathetic around annoying Theresa and obnoxious Maggie.

John and everyone looking for him were the only good parts of today. Why ruin that with Thrady, Summer, Daniel talk, Kate, etc?
Cannot believe Brady proposed and I swear to god if they actually get married and she takes John's last name, after all the shit she did to him I will lose it. Ugh. It`s Brady`s last name too. Not just John.

I'm struggling to get through today's show. The rescue team stuff is good and jigsaw is still a loon but all the Brady Summer Maggie Nicole Kate and Deimos can go
I like Marlena not wanting to tell Brady. And she actually looks exhausted which fits the story.

I thought I'd check out today mostly to see the Thrady proposal. The rest of the show was terrible. I ff'ed everything but Thady. I do think they've had it too easy and should have had better build up, but I find them watchable. Unlike the rest of the show. Basically the stuff I like gets no attention so I don't suppose DAYS will be any big loss from my life. I imagine I'll watch some this summer just because I'll be home. We'll see but I don't see myself ever watching faithfully again. The show is just so bad now. My favorite year was 2013. When they write like that again I'll be interested. Until then I guess I'm just not. I know many consider that to have been a year of bad writing, but it won't be the first time I like what others don't. So I'm cool with that.
I, of course like them, but they need more build up. Hopefully the antics of Summer, and the load up of lies might help. She was instituted a while back, now that translates to a few weeks ago. With the bummer mermaid, we scrape off one layer of bull and find a whole new layer of bull. To me, angst is a good thing, it is a great build up. Poor guy he barely got out....Donovan. Yeah, if they get married I'll probably watch. This show isn't very good at follow through, but I do hope for Thrady fans that they get married. I think they are the only current couple on the show I root for. Other than the already established long term couples, which are pretty few themselves. It's pretty obvious that Thrady is the root for.

Yea, if that had been Belle or Marlena brought into the warehouse I would have cared. Paul, not so much. :yawnz:
You're making me believe in the stereotype that "ship" fans don't like the children of half of the couple with another person. i.e. Jarlena fans hate Sami (I understood why), Brady, and Paul (for no good reason), Bope fans hate/hated Chelsea (for good reasons!! I understood why.) and there are other examples I could get into. But I see no reason for hating Paul, he's great. IMO
You'd be completely wrong for believing that stereotype regarding me. I loved loved loved Brady when he was a little boy, and only disliked him after they aged him and wrote him as a psycho who tortured Marlena and now how they write him as not caring about his own parents and all the other shit he does and has done (i.e. Kristen). I have very legitimate reasons for hating Brady. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Isabella. As for Paul, I don't dislike Paul as a character. I just have no interest in him being John's son. It's contrived and made no sense that John had a fling with someone that was not on screen when John was on screen almost daily, when he was obsessed with Kristen, again nothing to do with liking or disliking Tori. Tori is a meaningless nobody. Plus I just don't care at all about that contrived, make believe father son relationship John has with Paul. I'm not invested in it at all so watching John be upset about Paul being kidnapped is not interesting. Compare it to Maison Blanche when Stefano revealed to John on the monitor that he had Marlena tied to a chair, and I''m glued to my seat. This is like a bad version of Maison Blanche I'm watching now. Would have been good if it had been someone under that hood who I actually believed John loves with all his being. I just don't care or buy it with Paul. I hope that clears things up for you. I'm glad you think Paul is great. I don't think he's great, but I wouldn't have a problem with him if he wasn't just made to be John's son for the sake of giving the writers a reason to keep him around. Amen!!! And I love the child of j&m's hearts who was neither of theirs biologically. I even loved her when we thought John was Roman (and thus his biological child) even though she wasn't Marlena's!!!
I loved Brady until he was abusive to Marlena. I don't mind him now but I find his stories boring.
I hate Sami mainly because of her antics and because I'm a huge Austin & Carrie fan.
I like Eric a lot. Wish they would allow John to care what happens to him now more considering he raised him when he was a child.
Have fun with the stereotyping though. Thought that wasn't allowed here?

Rory sighting. Enjoyed seeing the dufus again. Too bad he's dealing drugs...... to Deimos. So Deimos is going to fuck with Maggie's health? Asshole! Myasthenia gravis is a terrible disease. I knew someone who had it. She lived into her 80's, but it was awful for her. Suzanne has it herself. Not liking where this is going.
Deimos has MG, not Maggie! Perhaps he's seeking her advice about how he can make peace with Victor.

Deimos has MG, not Maggie! Maggie has it. It's just been in remission, but it's not something you can get rid of. Suzanne has it in real life too. She had to leave the show for a year because of it from 1984-1985.

I truly had to fast forward through most of this episode. The only parts I enjoyed were the scenes with Marlena, Steve, Hope, Rafe John and this dad. Though I must admit the scenes with John and Yo Ling are starting to drag for me. Not because of Drake and Tobin because their acting is on point. But because the writing isn't substaining the suspense for me. It's time to kick the rescuing into high gear. And I know some found it ridiculous John was trying to break out of his chains, but he has done it before. At Maison Blanche he literally pulled his chains from a stone wall to get free.

UGH, what an awful episode! DAYS should seriously consider scrapping the whole Brady-Theresa-Nicole-Summer storyline. It's beyond boring, it's unwatchable! . Brady has been boring ever since Kristen left. . Theresa has also been boring since she lost her bitchy/edgy side. . Nicole has been a bore ever since being paired with "Saint" Daniel. . And as for Summer, another one of Maggie's egg-babies??? NO, NO & NO! Maggie has other children that I would much prefer hearing or seeing, than ANYTHING connected to Daniel. For all of us fans, let Daniel RIP, forever!

LOL that's what I said about the chains at MB! And I agree I'm ready for the rescue too. And it's only been a few days but jigsaw's ranting needs something else happening.
And Marlena looked so alone today. Even in a room full of people, you could sense she felt alone since John wasn't there

Forgot to add Brady and Theresa can't get a real wedding right? I'd much rather see S&K or J&M get a wedding first.

She is living up to what she and John always say to each other. When one isn't around the other feels like a part of themselves is missing.
